LONDON, DECEMBER 14: The mastermind of the September 2001 attacks in the US, Mohammad Atta, was trained in Baghdad by a Palestinian terrorist at the instance of deposed Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, a media report said today.
Atta, who was trained by Palestinian terrorist Abu Nidal, visited Baghdad just weeks before the terror attack, The Sunday Telegraph reported. The details of Attas visit are contained in a secret memo, written to Hussein by the former head of Iraqi intelligence service Tahir Jalil Habbush Al-Tikriti, it said.
The handwritten memo, a copy of which has been obtained by the daily is dated July 1, 2001 and provides a short resume of a three-day work programme Atta had undertaken at Nidals base in Baghdad. In the memo, Habbush reports that Atta displayed extraordinary effort and demonstrated his ability to lead the team that would be responsible for attacking the targets that we have agreed to destroy.
Although Iraqi officials refused to disclose how and where they had obtained the document, Ayad Allawi, a member of Iraqs ruling seven-man presidential committee, said the document was genuine.
We are uncovering evidence all the time of Saddams involvement with Al Qaeda, Allawi said. But this is the most compelling piece of evidence that we have found so far. It shows that not only did Saddam have contacts with Al Qaeda, he had contact with those responsible for the September 11 attacks.

This should be a lesson to murderous tyrants worldwide. Do not f**k with us! Kim Jong Il, take note, your silly behind will be found in a dirt hole as well. It's just a matter of time, but we will choose the time and place.

It was mentioned briefly on NBC this morning. Unfortunately, with the focus on Saddam's capture this story will quickly go away.

How can anyone in good conscience vote Dem? Great Question. Especially with a Balsy president as Bush. I chalk it up to misunderstanding, poor education, and our leftist media. If people could THINK instead of FEEL they'd be Republicans today.

If these people know about the WMD's and have said they were waiting for Saddam to be killed or captured... then the time has come for them to start talking.

Enriched uranium is not very radioactive - it's half life is 713 million years. I doubt anyone got cancer by transporting U-235. Even if they did, it would likely only show up years (decades) later.
Here is more info.

Wilson might not know about uranium in Niger, but he knows about gold.
The VF article briefly menitons he was involved with negotiations to get gold mining rights in Niger.
Certainly he would want to stay in that country's good graces...
