My hubby woke me up....he said he didn't think I would mind and he was right! I do wonder if Dan Rather is crying at this very moment.

NY Times; General, when are you going to be meeting with the captive, if not already.. and can you tell us of the progression of the phone calls.
Sanchez: I was with them when he was brought in last night, but I do not intend on meeting with him.
Bremer: I'll leave for a later date the minute by minute, but you can be sure that it was very busy.
Iraqi journalist: The DNA tests were conducted after the arrest, do you confirm this.. and when will you expose him for TV screening.
Sanchez: We are in the process of doing more conclusive tests, but we are sure that we have Saddam and there was positive ID from other detainees.
Journalist (iraqi): After arrest, do you feel a need to keep Saddam?
Sanchez; He will continue to be held in an undisclosed location?
Journalist (Iraqi): The arrest of Saddam will lead to arrest of other officials? or will you stop there?
Sanchez: Of course not! We have alot of work to do. We still have alot of forces creating havoc and we will continue to hunt them down and it's a mission we've been assigned. We will not slack off until we have security for the country.
Wall Street Journal: impressions of Saddam?
Sanchez: He was cooperative... he was a tired man and also a man resigned to his fate.... all the way in the back.
Journalist: Do you expect any increase in attacks in retalliation ?
Sanchez: yes, there was a bombing in Chaldea.. .that killed 20 and wounded 10... a continuation of terror against the Iraqi people. We will defeat those elements if they choose to attack.
needs microphone...
Daily Telegraph: Did the president give a memorable reaction?
Bremer: I thin kyou should direct that question to the White House... (LOL Good answer Bremer!)

Are they on suicide watch?? No, serious denial.
The term "cognitive dissonance" was made for that place.
They are saying that all the cheering from the Iraqi journalists when it was announced was actually ALL the journalists, and that that shows they aren't really "objective".
Lot's of "of course this is good news, BUT......"

The rats aren't happy at the DUmp. Now, they are worried about how we violated Saddam's rights by shaving him. Truly pathetic.

Sanchez: we will interrogate as long as needed to get the information we need.
Iraqi Journalist: My question is, we know that capital punishment was suspended in Iraq... will it be possible to capital punishment.
Council: This is an issue for the special tribunal, but I want to insure that the court will be open and just and will be possible for all accused defendants to have attorneys and defended and it will not be like the courts that was sentencing and execute within minutes.

He's too power mad to abandon the sinking ship of his regime.
I still think it was 'cause he was too busy talking on the phone to his wife in Syria.
And I wonder which person tipped him off. Good for him!
