Gore's Hands of Stone (interesting info concerning MoveOn.org)

The vast left-wing conspiracy has gone international.
A Swedish Web operation thought it would be a good idea to solicit contributions from Europeans to the liberal American group MoveOn.org. "One dollar per EU-citizen would suffice to raise more money than the entire Bush campaign budget for the elections in 2000," reasoned the Web site, hem.passagen.se/democracyaid/. "Compare this price to the cost of having Bush in the White House."
But there was a problem. MoveOn didn't want the money. In some cases, such contributions would be illegal; in other cases, they would be legal but would give the unhelpful impression that MoveOn is orchestrating a European takeover of the United States.

And the moronic DU'ers can't understand why international monetary donations filtering into American elections are a) illegal b) unethical and c) unConstitutional.
I bet MoveOn.org takes the money via a third party website to avoid FBI investigation - just as one DUer suggested.

Ah, is this the first loophole to be exploited in the newly baptized Campaign Finance Reform law?

I wonder how the Swedes would feel if all Americans donated one dollar a piece to influence the Swedish national elections?

Stupid Europeans didn't realize that DNC money has to be routed through China.

Did they remember to solicit Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein? They may not be European, but I'm sure they share the same sentiments....

"One dollar per EU-citizen would suffice to raise more money than the entire Bush campaign budget for the elections in 2000," Being a GOP media consultant, I notice one problem with this theory of MoveOn.org's omnipotence...their media people suck. Their ads have never been effective, or even professional-looking. Mirimax and others spent $130 million promoting "Gigli". This hardly made it a success.
All the Socialist money in the world cannot change the fact that the economy is roaring back, that their have been no U.S. terror attacks since 9/11, and that the American people admire and respect George W. Bush, and trust him a hell of a lot more than any Democrat.
It will take a lot more than ad money to change all that.

Straw Donors are Al Gore's and Bill Clinton's specialty. I'm sure Al Gore has passed along all of his illegal fund raising techniques to MoveOn.org. The Lippo Group and John Riady comes to mind

Did anyone watch SNL tonight? The DUHers are sick over the hysterical Gore endorsing Dean skit. It was priceless.....

Why in the hell can't MoveOn just....MOVE THE F--- ON!?! This is a leftist outfit that got its startup protecting Xlinton from impeachment. Now they're sticking their noses into everything. Just what we need, another liberal special-interest group.

The vast left-wing conspiracy has gone international.
It always has been. Only the uninformed are not aware of the consistancy in rhetoric and agenda on all sides of the aisle. They are globalists. Sadly, many Republicans are as well. NWO anyone?

that their have been no U.S. terror attacks since 9/11I don't see how another attack would help the Democrats?? Why would it make people vote for those who want to kiss the bombers??

I don't believe for one second the dims won't find a way to accept this hate money somehow. If they can take it from China with no consequences, they can take it from anywhere.

SNL was great tonight from a political standpoint. The Gore/Dean sketch painted algore as the buffoon he is. The bonus was it highlighted all Dean's positions that he'd rather keep quiet. I think there was a bit of an inside joke the way Darrell Hammond portrayed Gore's poor timing and awkward gestures--highlighted for all the world to see when he hosted last year. Hammond does "boring" well, don't you think? Also, the opener was good with Hammond as Chris Matthews, Chris Parnell as a believable Lieberman, and one of the black actors as Carol Mosely-Braun, who will bring diversity to the White House--black, female Ninja.

"I wonder how the Swedes would feel if all Americans donated one dollar a piece to influence the Swedish national elections? With that kind of money, you could buy most of Sweden..
Not a good value though, since most of their desirable industry has been bought up by American companies already.

"Last night Move On contacted us and asked us to change our campaign message. As of now they no longer accept contributions from non US citizens/permanent resident aliens. Therefore our website is temporarily down. You can still leave messages in our guest book." As of now??? ... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
