So, to be succinct, Bush is wonderful because he spends too much of our taxes and assumes the positions Democrats would assume.

And they say Clinton had a cult of personality.

...in November of 2004, this particular rightist is going to stand by George W. Bush just as the bumper sticker on my car promises...

This particular rightist is going to stand by him too. And I 'm think of making up my own bumber sticker to read:

Make the World Safe for Terrorists
Elect a Democrat

I have many, many problems with GE Bush -- not the least of which is Campaign FInance Reform and his big spending ways -- but whatever is wrong with W and the Republicans is certainly not going to be fixed by having a Democrat in the White House and Democrats in control of congress.

Excellent post and a good read!

"There are many conservatives out there who could do a better job of slashing outlays, but it is highly unlikely that any of them could get elected by our emotive and squishy electorate."

How true it is.

"We must support him because heady days await and also because his reelection keeps the Democrat Party headless. "

Just that single issue should be enough to bring us ALL together in November.

Actually it says is that if you don't play, you can't win.

Playing is what is important, not winning every idealistic point.

Childish sulking accomplishes nothing.

"I don´t care if you insult him or trade in Karl Rove conspiracy theories, but, in November of 2004, this particular rightist is going to stand by George W. Bush just as the bumper sticker on my car promises. Our hopes for a better tomorrow rest in the White House on his bed. We must support him because heady days await and also because his reelection keeps the Democrat Party headless. Let´s proudly stand by our man as he loudly subsumes the popular positions of the left while promoting many of ours in the shadows though his judges, appointees, and minions."

BUMP

Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge told a Miami audience Tuesday that the country should legalize 8 to 12 million illegals living in the country.

You're not seeing behind the scenes. He's quietly bringing down the liberal walls of Jericho.
Once their skeleton (power support structure) is gone, they won't be unable to stand. The stuff you see front and center is not a life time solution. It's to keep the mushy people happy while he works.

As a Christian, I have a real problem with the time he equated Allah with Jehovah...

It makes me think about voting libertairian because there may not be a choice next year, cause I sure as heck will not vote for a Demoncrat.

The logic isn't all that difficult.

There are things that every conservative disagrees with that this President has done, but most of us understand that there is much more at stake than prescription drugs or the farm bill.

There is the security of this nation. There is standing strong for American interests abroad. There is the respect for and support of our military. There is the movement that has been made back toward morality and a culture of life.

It has absolutely NOTHING to do with anyone's 'personality.' And it was illogical and irrelevant for you to say it does.

I am a Christian to but the liberterians are stauch believers in separation of church and state. You have to play with the devil sometimes, and what is the president of the United States going to say. That Allah is evil. I have no doubt he believes that if he is a born again christian but you have to be "diplomatic"... No reason not to vote for a born again christian president who doesnt use the mantle of religion when it suits him like Clinton did.
