I have the solution. WITHHOLD ALL DONATIONS TO THE RNC and local Republican committees, and SWITCH voting registration to INDEPENDENT. Return their pathetic, desperate pleas for money back empty. With a note explaining that they will cease to collect ONE RED CENT until they defend the Constitution, and fight the liberal assult on our borders, language, and culture. I know it sounds a like Michael Savage monologue, but dammit, he is RIGHT!!!

Donate money to the two or three REAL Conservative candidates in Congress like Tom Tancredo or those that stood up for Colonel David West. Maybe help the black Republican candidates running--who seem to be REAL Conservatives.

KEEP the money you would normally give to Our Lord and Savior, our Alpha and Omega, Our New World Presidente, Jesus W. Bush.

Instead, GIVE the money to Jesse Lee Peterson's B.O.N.D., Landmark Legal Foundation, the Boy Scouts, the NRA, Campus Watch, F.I.R.E, Renew America, etc.

You can still vote for any "pansy-assed," "PC," "Democrat-posing-as-a-Republican," "Islam is a peaceful religion," "let's legalize EVERY illegal invader" candidate you desire, because you are going to vote for them any way. just don't give them any more money.

Maybe they will collectively shit in their pants-with- whales-on-them when they fail to get any money from their peon, joe schmoe enablers. Maybe they won't. It's worth a try. It's our country. At least for the time being.

Worth repeating bump.

If conservatives play their cards well here there is no doubt that it will position the country for a move to the right very easily. If Bush is re-elected he has a mandate. Secondly the country is evenly devided by very pursuaded by fear of the threats of getting bombed into oblivion. Sitting back and doing nothing is the current vision of the Dim's. Americans may be slothful and easily distracted but the vast majority is gonna vote for the best solution to protect their arses.

Pickup seats in the congress and definately in the Senate. We have a killer advantage here let's not blow it!

Then the fight legislation will be moving to the right because power will become intra-party. The dims will just be sitting back and taking it right up their holes 365 for for 4 more years.

You do know the Pubbies have to win primaries to get to the general election don't you? What you need to do is persuade a majority of Pubbie primary voters to abandon their pragmatic moderate centrist conservatism, or get the center of gravity of the nation as a whole in politics move your way. Absent that, one is just a rather ineffectual and whining kibbitzer.

As a matter of full disclosure, in general I am a "pragmatic moderate centrist conservative," by temperment and ideology, although it depends on the issue (on a few, I am close to a right wing nutter, on a few others shockingly "liberal"). So you need to take over the party from my type I guess to achieve political happiness. Fair enough. Just go do about doing it. You send your check, and I send mine. And so it goes.

"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice."

So, tell me exactly what Bush said prior to election day that "fooled" you?

Maybe, you fooled yourself.

"Before the final draft was even submitted, the "powers that be" of BOTH sides had already determined that ALL the restrictions could be overcome. McCain-Feingold was as meaningless today as the day it was signed. There are pleanty of work arounds.
You are 1000-percent correct.

I am astounded at all the teeth gnashing going on regarding this issue.

People constantly violate previous campaign laws, and the most that happens is a fine, and even that is rare."

I agree; CFR is absolutely meaningless on ALL levels!

The President must continue to focus on the truly IMPORTANT issues -- like our life and death struggle against the terrorists (Islamic and leftist) who plan to destroy this country any way they can!

You say that the meda-scare bill increased the size of the Government.....can you give us some of examples or figures substantiating that observation?

With all due respect, I say that you, like many in your category, are assuming that this bill has increased the size of government without factual evidence to back it up.

I this latest session, there have been many budget changes and cut-backs to adjust for the stipulations of the new bill.

Therefore, isn't it better to avoid such forceful or damaging rhetoric, based upon supposition or inuendo?

Nelson of Nebraska usually votes with the Republicans. He is a DINO for the most part.

What's your "conservative" solution to this problem?

I know some relatives with the same problems as well.

They should seek help from private organizations and charity organizations.

It is not the government's problem to solve.

The same as the Spartans and some Native Americans (ya, I know, they loved the planet, and protected it, and were in tune with it, perhaps, or so Hollywood says, but not their geezers) back when perhaps? Just go up to the top of a very cold mountain, and reflect on your life for the balance thereof.

You couldnt have said it better... I seriously think someone has to be out of their mind to sit here and say that they will either vote for the DIm candidate or not vote at all.. I mean, I cannot find any one on the dim side that I can even consider voting for. Especially after all the hatred and vitriol they have poured on Bush.. God Bless him.. He definetly has had a lot more to deal with than Clinton ever did... Repbs went after Clinton but the media dismissed them as right wing lunatics. The left wing "Hate Bush" fringe is considered as mainstream by most if not all of the media except for Fox News and Wash times and few other outlets.

I was trying to make a point to TheAngryClam but he deserted us. I was trying to point out to him that President Bush is more of a politician then he gives credit. In fact, I think he is so much better then Clinton, it is not even a contest. I cannot be 100% sure, but it is looking real good that Ben Nelson will become an R, right after the first of the year.

There won't be any money left for anything else unless taxes are radically increased.

Federal Government spending has been about 18% or 22% of GDP for years -- maybe the last 60 years or so.

The federal government has as much money now to waste as it did half a century ago.

The medicare bill and then signing the campaign finance bill which has already proven to be a joke

Soros had ebough brights to realize CFR worked against the Dims motre tha nus. The Medicare bill , a tactical retreat at worst, left a nice little minefield for Teddy and the gang to wander into.

I think it'll become very clear as time goes on. The Dims are genuinely screeching over Medicare reform, they see their cudgel taken away from them and then realize real reform is in the offing.

That's interesting. What is it based on?

I'm not being fooled that Dean is totally conservative, that's for sure. I do think he is fiscally conservative though - just look at the Vermont records. I also know that he hasn't squashed anyones 2nd Amendment rights there.

As far as being rural, Vermont is a pretty rural state - and he probably has a feel for what the needs of that community is. He's also travelled and lived with very rural people in other countries.

On a local New Hampshire political show, I heard him say that he is proud of his background and not going to make any excuses about the fact that his parents worked hard and were well-off.

Growing up on Long Island, though, I can say that the Eastern End of LI is thought to be rural (the "boonies" as we used to call it) as compared to the rest of LI and the city. Although, now that I've lived other places I can see that it is not rural compared to other areas of the US.

The fact the goverment will be spending billions of dollars as a result of this bill already increases the size of the government. For starters, this already requires the hiring of new people in the government, new oversight offices, new people who will have to implement it, etc. That is just for starters.

Talk about Tactics.. I think Bush is brilliant..He has consistently yanked the rug from right under the dims with everyone of his policies. Thats what it takes to win an election. When you have to deal with the devil, you have to get dirty and fight it out...
