Bear Burgers for everyone!

I've always wondered why killing animals for fun is considered by some people synonymous with conservatism. I guess it's because idiots can call themselves conservatives, too.

You wouldn't last five minutes in the woods against a man. But I suppose that's what you people are compensating for, isn't it?

Why do you feel it's for fun? Did I miss something in the article?

Yeah, it's so much more fun watching them starve to death due to over population. ;-)

I don't think this is killing for no reason. If I were there and had children, pets or made my living off of livestock, I would appreciate that someone wanted to control them.

Hunting is killing for fun. Killing for fun is sick.

Culling populations is a sad necessity. Killing animals for fun, as is implied by all these FR threads, is sick.

You're a vegetarian. The hunters are going to eat the bear meat and probably make nice rugs from the hides. The reduced population of bears will leave more food for the remaining population. It is necessary to reduce the size of predator populations so they don't decimate the populations of their prey. Likewise, it is necessary to limit populations of deer so they don't eat all the food and leave starving masses of deer. Animal population management leaves a healthier ecosystem and the costs are borne by the hunters who pay fees to hunt and retrieve the animals.
The greenies forced introduction of Canadian wolves back into Idaho. The wolf packs are protected against hunting. The wolves have wiped out most of the deer, antelope, elk and moose in Idaho. They are also killing large numbers of domestic cattle and sheep. There is little left to manage or hunt in Idaho now.

I see by your tagline that you are an ex-hunter. Does that mean you too were sick, but got better?

I'll tell ya what's sick. In my younger hunting days we went ATM hunting. Anything
That
Moves.
Ah, those were the days.
To: Puppage
The result of my driving is getting me to work. The end result of hunting is death.

Anybody can claim to be anything on the internet. Many people use those claims to back up positions devoid of logic or weight. Like our very own poster here.

Your testosterone is surging at the thought, I can tell.
I used to hunt as avidly, and have killed one of everything except for a moose. Never killed a moose.
