Yes, if Dean were Clinton, he'd say "I never aborted any children but I did do some vaginal extractions of unviable tissue masses" and the media would just nod their heads and believe every word.

what were his qualifications to practice OB/GYN? At an abortion clinic, you need no license or qualifications. Everyone knows that. It could be an auto mechanic. Nobody's going to tell on the "doctor" - not the clinic, not the patient, not PP and certainly not the doctor. That's abortion's dirty little secret. Cash up front and no questions afterwards.

.....but adamant that he hasn't performed any abortions - First rule of politics never believe anything until it's officially denied!
To: Ethyl
What do OB/GYN doctors to at abortion clinics????? Planned Parenthood is not exclusively an abortion clinic. They distribute birth control, treat VD, and various other things.
That said, I still think Dean is a liar.

There is a way to check up on Dr. Dean's malpractice insurance coverage--if he performed abortions then that would be reflected in his malpractice coverage during those years. Perhaps planned parenthood carried the malpractice insurance. Anyway with the freedom of information act that we can get than information? Any way to get the information re: any medical malpractice claims on Dr. Dean? I know it is out there, but not knowledgeable enough to figure out how to get.

<< ...unless Dean is a total delusional sociopath... >>
He's delusional and a psychotic -- but not a sociopath.
That's too easy an out. He knows what he's doing.
And that marks him a psychopath.
Of the predatory co-serial-rapist, Rotten-KKli'toon, variety.

The MDs working on general health and wellness issues do not always do the surgery. There are contract MDs that
do Pap Smears and pelvic exams and write RX for the patients. Dr. Dean may have done exams for PP but it does not mean he actually did any abortions at all. He may have just been one of the many that picked up extra money by doing routine exams for women needing healthcare. The cost for the routine check for women is minimal. Women entering a PP clinic are usually not there for abortion. They are usually there for a health check for cheap money. They do not have the money for $100.+ GYN visits.
To: Torie
Don't you think Dean might worry that if he is lying, one of his "patients" might out him (maybe for big bucks from whomever), with medical records to prove it, to utterly destroy him?Let's suppose Dean actually gets caught in a lie of this magnitude. Dollars to donuts he will skate. A charge like this has absolutely no legs among his supporters, including the presstitutes. Remember the big flap about his alleged draft dodging? About Clinton's "I tried it but didn't inhale" confession.
And suppose the charge did have legs? Who would Democrats beleive? A respected Liberal doctor or some slut who was under anethestic at the time?
To: lizma
He could be outed by one of the nurses or the other staff. It will be interesting. His Dem opponents will not out him on this one because if it is found out it will only strengthen him with the pro-death crowd within the Dem Party.

I was thinking the same thing but, I'll bet somebody is already holding that information. The op research teams of the remaining RATS and/or President Bush have probably been on this before us and we will see this come out if its true. Persoanlly, I do. What the heck is an ob/gyn doing hanging out with Planned Parenthood?

So lets see.. You are brand new and you make a comment that sends up a red flag. I hope you will explain your "guilt by association" comment.
To: Torie
Dean denied he performed any abortions, and nothing other than his views on the issue and associations (guilt by association) suggests otherwise. Pathetic. Dean is unfit to be president, but this kind of thing can only help him. I disent. Off damned spot.Dean has been caught in a lot of distortions of his own views re: Iraq, Social Security age and distortions of the other Dems positions. Remember when he had an ad that claimed he was the most anti-war of the crowd, and Kucinich took issue? He pulled that stunt about entering a tin-foil hat rumor about Bush, then explaining it off by saying he never believed it, it was just an example of the rumors.
Bottom line...Dean brought it upon himself. Anyway, if he had any moral fiber on the issue he wouldn't be associated with a group that advocated abortion, whether he was performing them or not.

From
Lifenews.com:" However, in an embarrassing moment for Dean earlier this year, he was caught exaggerating one story in an attempt to talk down the need for notification. During his speech to the annual NARAL dinner this January, Dean related a story about his days as a doctor:
As many of you know I'm a doctor. I'm an internist, and I take care of all ages
one time a young lady came into my office who was 12 years old and she thought she might be pregnant. And we did the tests and did the exam and she was pregnant. She didn't know what to do. And after I had talked to her for a while I came to the conclusion that the likely father of her child was her own father. You explain that to the American people who think that parental notification is a good idea.
Dean's problem? The story is false.
In an appearance on MSNBC's "Meet the Press" on June 22nd, host Tim Russert confronted Dean with the falsehood.
Russert: There's this article in USA Today: Dean told a powerful story but left out a key fact. What Dean didn't say was that he knew the father was not responsible, someone else was convicted. That's a pretty big omission.
Dean: I don't think it's -- omission. A pretty big omission, you mean?
Russert: Yeah. Thats a pretty -- to say that...
Dean: I dont think it is at all.
Russert: To suggest her father may have been...
Dean: I thought it was. At the time, I thought it was.
Russert: But when you told that story, you knew otherwise.
Dean: Thats right.
Russert: Why didnt you say that?
Dean: Because it didnt make any difference.
Joanne Ciulla, a leadership and ethics professor at the University of Richmond, says Dean gave "the appearance of lying because he didn't reveal all the information."

You explain that to the American people who think that parental notification is a good idea.I've been thinking about this Dean's Fable which you related. If he thought that a 12 year old was pregnant by her father, shouldn't it have been reported to authorities and shouldn't that girl been placed in foster care until it was determined that she could safely go home?
Wouldn't failure to follow through on his suspicions (of the time) have been criminal? So, he either never believed the story, even at the time, or he put that girl in what he would've thought was a harmful situation.
All of those nanny-government types who think he's the Messiah should be outraged.

if you're against a woman having an MD perform an abortion, you're not voting for dean anyway. this guilt by association thing is just to foment the troops.
No, I think if one wants an abortion, it should be preformed by an MD, however the original post was to get the truth out. Nothing more.

Oh fer pete's sake that's just silly.
Planned Parenthood did a lot of other medical services, checkups, and birth control. He's not an abortionist just because you say he is.
Sheesh.
How do you know?? I was just reacting to the article and his saying that he never inhaled statement.

Isn't this the same guy who went to the cat shelter and lied, saying that he wanted a cat for a pet. He adopted the cat and took it home and practiced his surgery on it.
Didn't he do this multiple times?
Kerry is bad but at least he wasn't mutilating cats.
