You've made your little whiney point about a dozen times on this thread already.

My "whiney little point" goes to the very essence of the way Christmas has been marginilized in this country, thanks to militant secularists and the ACLU - - all of whom Bush is pandering to by refusing to use the word "Christmas." I'm looking right now at a "holiday" mug I was given, that says "Winter Wishes". That's what we've been reduced to - - - no mention of Christ or Christmas is permissible in polite society, according to the PC crowd. Bush, who has the bully pulpit, could help push the tide back, by mentioning the legal name of the federal holiday - i.e., "Christmas" - - - but he DOESN't HAVE THE GUTS TO DO SO. He's a PC wimp, and sorry if you're offended by my telling the truth. Sometimes the truth hurts, but that's no reason to start telling ourselves lies or to take refuge, as you are doing, in wishful thinking.

The subject of this post is his card. It says NOTHING ABOUT CHRIST OR CHRISTMAS -- - even though the legal name of the federal holiday is "Christmas." The ACLU and the militant secularists don't want anyone to use the word "Christmas" --- and Bush is wimpy enough to oblige. It's easy to stand up against a dictator like Saddam (nobody's going to defend such a vile character) but it's harder to stand up against the PC crowd in this country - - and Bush hasn't shown that he has the guts to do so. This card panders to them by failing to mention the word Christ, or the legal name of the holiday - - Christmas.

Give me President Grant any day. He is the one who signed the law declaring Christmas a national holiday - - - and he called it "Christmas," not "the season," or "solstice celebration," or "the happy holiday day." It's on the law books, the official federal calendar of federal holidays, as "Christmas" --- but George Bush doesn't have the courage to use the word in the cards he sends out.

It would be nice if you would be honest enough to just say out loud that you don't like President Bush instead of camouflaging it in criticism of this card.

He is not a wimp, he is not a coward, he is not afraid of anyone, nor sending this card to be PC.

He is polite, considerate of others' faiths, and a better man than you. That's what bugs you, isn't it?
