SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Former President Bill Clinton has been asked to make a last-minute campaign appearance for San Francisco's Democratic mayoral hopeful, who faces a tough runoff race against a Green Party challenger, campaign sources said Friday.

Former Vice President Al Gore already campaigned for Democratic candidate Gavin Newsom this week and has asked Clinton to come before Tuesday's election, according to Newsom's campaign consultant, Eric Jaye.

If Bill Clinton is to visit San Francisco, someone should warn the people there to not bend over in the shower to pick up the soap.

Have you been to SF lately? There must not be any soap in that whole city from the looks of all the hippies and homeless people running around. Soap is the last thing on anyones mind in SF.

WILLIAM Jefferson CLINTON aided our Terrorist Enemy HO CHI MINH during the Vietnam War.

HO CHI MINH's Capitol City of HANOI is San Francisco, California's Sister City.

Newsom, 36, is in a closer-than-expected race against Matt Gonzalez.

Gonzalez? That name sounds kinda Hispanic. You know, kinda like Richardson. Why is Clinton not campaigning for Gonzalez?

Is Newsom an African-American by any chance?

He's a young white guy who looks like a male model, with a wife who is a city prosecutor and used to be a model, herself. The ultimate Democrat glamour couple. The party has high hopes for them in the future, but Newsom has to beat this pesky Communist Gonzalez first (Gonzalez also looks white, not Hispanic).

Well, we'll see... Clinton hasn't done to well in this regard. Most candidates he stumps for tend to lose in recent years. Amazing there is still someone desperate enough to want him to come and make an appearance ;0)

He said Newsom would welcome a visit by Clinton, whom he described as "the uber-Democrat."

That should set off red alarms in the mind of every Democrat with a conscience, IMHO.

A pinnacle of Democratic policy.

Newsom is the golden child and Brown's favorite. He's been touted as a future presidential candidate.

Oh. You mean it's not good enough to have a hipanic-sounding name? You have to actually look line one?

How superficial.

But what if this Gonzalez did look like a Hispanic? Would Bubba and Weird Algore have supported him?

Nahhhhhhh!

Can we say, "Kennedys II"?

but Newsom has to beat this pesky Communist Gonzalez first (Gonzalez also looks white, not Hispanic).

Why do these Communists even bother dabbling in American politics? Liberation Theology makes Latin America a far riper place to begin a Marxist Revolution. (And then witness a beautiful country sink into the depths of fascism and poverty.)

I saw the wife on Fox News doing Laci Peterson analysis. WOW what a major babe she is. But, I want the Greens to win, just because it will piss off Democrats.

"One candidate is Ivy League, a Columbia University scholar who became editor of the prestigious Stanford Law Review. A native Texan, he is the son of a former tobacco executive involved in international import-export and nephew of a onetime big-city mayor and now is in the seat of power himself president of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors.

The other candidate went to Santa Clara University on a partial baseball scholarship, and was raised by a single mother who simultaneously worked jobs as a secretary, waitress and bookkeeper and put her son to work as a busboy. He landed an $18,000-a-year job in a powerful businessman's office, developed a network of political friends and backers, and forged a successful business."

Now, guess which is which! Then read more.

If the Greens win San Francisco, the Democrat Party will begin to unravel quicker than expected.

The far left will abandon the party in droves and the party veterans will blame the left for it's continuing losses.

The Bill Clinton trance will then begin to wear off. once and for all.
