Weird. Then again, under Eisner, Disney is perverse.

"for causing a perception that the company "is rapacious, soul-less, and always looking for the 'quick buck' rather than the long-term value."

Wow. That is exactly how I percieve Disney, and many others. So you see, they DO know.

Wow. Look at his parting shot:
Perhaps acting independently, from outside the Boardroom, not hamstrung by a recently enacted Board policy barring Board members from communicating with shareholders and the media, I can have greater success in shaping the policies, practices and operations of Disney than I had as a member of the Board.
That is a clear statement of his intention to campaign openly against Eisner and his compliant slate of directors with a competing slate. He's saying that he's going to go to institutional holders (banks, mutual funds) and the public with a message of, "Vote for this new slate if you think it's time for Eisner to go."

This is starting to get really good.

Eisner is doing ethnic cleansing on the Disney board. Anyone with a sense of morality is being forced of the board.

"I do, however, lament that my efforts over the past three years to implement needed changes has only succeeded in creating an insular Board of Directors serving as a bulwark to shield management from criticism and accountability."

Not sure if he should blame himself, though he hired Eisner, but he's right about the lack of accountability.

Not likely. The leftists who control it will destroy it before allowing Disney to go back in time and reflect the values of mainstream America.

"This is yet another attempt by this Board to squelch dissent by hiding behind the veil of 'good governance.' "

Figures. It's just more leftist fascism. Basically, he's saying Disney's senior management is an elitist clique that is bleeding the company dry and sending it to ruin. He's right.

"Vote for this new slate if you think it's time for Eisner to go."

Wondering if he drastically reduced his life expectancy with that statement?

Hope this has a lot of blowback against Eisner.

Again ABCNNBCBS will make sure that the sheeple who watch them, will never hear Roy Disney's side.

Of course the NY Slimes, LA Slimes, Washingto Compost, Boston Globalists, and other left wing fishwraps will never tell Roy's side.

It will be up to us and the conservatives on talk radio to get this ongoing dialoge from Roy out in the open.

We love going to Orlando and NOT paying one red cent to Disney. We stay at the new Ritz, or Universal's Royal Pacific, we only go to non-Disney attractions.

I was accosted by a transvestite Disney employee, taking a survey with a Palm, the last time there. Disgusting.

Actually this was front-page news in the LA Times this morning, and on the inside page continuing the story, they ran Roy's letter in its entirety in a boldface sidebar.

This is exactly what my radio newsbreak was just saying (here in Orlando). They said Roy is going to round up key allies and investors to oust Eisner and get back control of Disney...pointing out the same quote you just did. Anything to get Eisner out works for me.

that the age-limit rule, instituted last year,

The age limit was set at 72, which is just how old Roy Disney was last year. Gee, what a coincidence. (NOT)

Gold's resignation comes as Disney's board begins two days of meetings in New York.

More news...

Discontent in the House of Mouse.

...With the last living member of the Disney family calling it quits, perhaps the corporate board should consider a name change, since the only semblence of Walt Disney's legacy is found in the productions Walt oversaw himself, and current releases you could count on one hand. Other than that, zilch.

-Regards, T.
