Well, they wanted an ambush and they got one. It was just a *little* different then they imagined.

Nothing like a big ol' 46-0 scorecard to suck that bravado right out of Hillary's underpants.

Fire from rooftops and alleyways. And the fedayeen set up a roadblock and when the Americans vehicles came to it, that was when they opened fire.

The fedayeen is coming out of the woodwork. Maybe we are getting close to their lover, Sadam.

Steve Centani reporting again: 3 separate attacks, two practically simultaneous and they LOST the battle. Lt. Col. William McDonald says "There's no need to change our convoy operations...because we won this battle."

I guess these 46 didn't get the word. They listened to Hillary Clinton.

Why would they expect this outcome when all of Arab news publishes how downhearted and ready to turn tail and run the American forces are. Maybe the Arab press , will be in the long run, the cause of these miserable skunks meeting their demise.

You're right. The PR in the Arab world lets the truth sway whichever way the wind blows.
Strike
one Steve Centanni.
No more coffee for me.
FN: Lt. Col. Tim Eads: "US forces were incredibly well prepared for this...We are able to secure our convoys very well, and pity be to the guy who decides to go after one of our convoys."

Wow, and this just after I read an article in my local paper (Newsday) today about Samarra, and how it was a town we "could have won over" but was now against us. Bullsh**! This is a Sunni town, and a deeply Islamist town. They were never going to accept us. One of the civilians quoted in the article as having "turned" against U.S. forces cited as the reason... that we had searched his house and his wife complained that we damaged furniture and tracked mud on the floors. (!) Are these reporters this stupid? Just because people tell you "I was ready to like the Americans, but then they...." doesn't mean it's true. They could be lyin', ya know.

Considering that's a Reuters report I'm surprised they didn't throw something in about US forces violating the "civil rights" of thos Iraqi "resistance fighters".
