In a demoralizing message to U.S. soldiers serving in Iraq, visiting New York Sen. Hillary Clinton told them that Americans back home are growing increasingly skeptical of President Bush's decision to send them into battle.

Describing two meetings with G.I.s over turkey dinners in Baghdad, Sen. Clinton told reporters later that soldiers wanted to know "how the people at home feel about what we are doing."

Clinton said she told the troops, "Americans are wholeheartedly proud of what you are doing but there are many questions at home about the (Bush) administration's policies."

She also suggested that the U.S. could eventually loose the war in Iraq, contending, "We have to exert all of our efforts militarily, but the outcome is not assured."

Despite her sour pronouncements, the former first lady insisted that the soldiers were just as glad to see her as they were President Bush, whose surprise visit less than 24-hours earlier was greeted with standing ovations.

"It's a positive for the commander-in-chief to visit troops in the field," Clinton told reporters, adding, "the troops [also] seemed to appreciate seeing myself."

Speaking from a secure location just over the Kuwaiti border, Mrs. Clinton launched one verbal salvo after another at the White House, arguing that Bush officials had been "obsessed" with getting Saddam Hussein and saying the perception blinded them to the difficulties of deposing his regime.

"The Pentagon tried to make do with as few troops as possible, as light a footprint as they could get away with," Clinton said. "Now, we're playing catchup . . . Unfortunately, I don't think they fully appreciated the conditions we would encounter."

The top Democrat also reprised her charge that the White House is being less than candid when it comes to apprising the American people of the costs of the war.

"The obstacles and problems here are much greater than the administration usually admits to," she said, adding, "Everybody has to be honest."

Thanks for the ping. This needs major coverage. I don't think she will be able to run. I think she finally stepped over the line.

I'll even settle for the twenty years in subsection (a).
Subsection (c) is also interesting as we could all face 10 years for not turning her in.

US CODE
TITLE 18 - CRIMES AND CRIMINAL PROCEDURE
PART I - CRIMES
CHAPTER 115 - TREASON, SEDITION, AND SUBVERSIVE ACTIVITIES

Sec. 2388. - Activities affecting armed forces during war

(a)
Whoever, when the United States is at war, willfully makes or conveys false reports or false statements with intent to interfere with the operation or success of the military or naval forces of the United States or to promote the success of its enemies; or

Whoever, when the United States is at war, willfully causes or attempts to cause insubordination, disloyalty, mutiny, or refusal of duty, in the military or naval forces of the United States, or willfully obstructs the recruiting or enlistment service of the United States, to the injury of the service or the United States, or attempts to do so -

Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.

(b)
If two or more persons conspire to violate subsection (a) of this section and one or more such persons do any act to effect the object of the conspiracy, each of the parties to such conspiracy shall be punished as provided in said subsection (a).

(c)
Whoever harbors or conceals any person who he knows, or has reasonable grounds to believe or suspect, has committed, or is about to commit, an offense under this section, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both.

My sympathies to the State of New York. You elected her...you have to live with her.

It appears that we all have to live with her across the Union. Gee, thanx New York.

The only troops who would be enthusiastic about seeing the First Witch would the Saddam Fedayeen and Baathist militiamen. She must be completely full of hershelf. Yes, I wish this scurrilous old bag would run for president. I would crawl across hot coals and razor blades to get to the polls and vote against her.

...referring to her mother as loving and her father as a hard core conservative ... IMO, she has major issues with her dad.

Her dad must have had major issues with her and could you blame him?

I'm just as happy as anyone to see her blow it like this. Still, your continued hubris needs addressing:

1)She is without a doubt, the most despised women in America...not just men...women hate her too!!

Not borne out by the polling data I've seen.

2)She has political baggage unprcidented in the annals of American history.

Baggage that neither Bush nor the media will touch. So far, she hasn't been held accountable for anything.

3)She is a known con women who shredded documents when she was under fire. Also this holds true for her quintessential bulldyke friends whom SHE got hired...Janet the "torch Reno, and Donna "BULLDYKE" Shalala.

See answer to #2.

4)She and her husband(ersatz husband) are well known for being inveterate liars.

It hasn't mattered a bit because their constituency is composed of similarly inveterate liars.

5) Bill Clinton, in spite of his histrionics, bit lip(only whemn he is cought in a bare-faced lie) is a well known, well unrepected male slut in the eyes of most females. Hey, he married the wretch now his bed is made.

So? Most liberals would be jealous of such traits and wish they could get away with it too.

6) Hillary has a history of being a Marxist-Leninist Pinky....all the way back to high school. We conservatives will leave no stone unturned to uncover, and highlight her political transgressions.

Turn over all the rocks you want. Nobody will hear about it. So, how about those memos?

If the market tanks under the assaults of the likes of Soros, Rockefeller, and Buffet, and she runs, the evil bitch stands a better than even chance of winning.

No wonder there was an attack yesterday on the troops where the liberal press blamed the president's visit on it, and then the Coalition Ambush south of Baghdad. I bet the left-wing media blames that on President Bush's visit also

You were correct. It was tough. None-the-less, her treasonous demoralizing comments to troops in a war zone are completely inexcusable.

From what I understand it is written about in the book by Gary Aldrich, "Unlimited Access".

http://www.frontpagemagazine.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=8207

Hillary is rumored to have tried but failed to have the Postal Service stop issuing its traditional Madonna and Child stamps around Christmastime. An FBI agent who served in their White House has written that the Clintons’ upstairs Christmas tree, unseen by the public, was one year decorated with sex and drug paraphernalia such as condoms and heroin syringes. This helps us understand Bill and Hillary’s attitude towards Christianity.
