Moderator note: I know it's going to be tough, but, please watch the calls for violence against this creature.

In a demoralizing message to U.S. soldiers serving in Iraq, visiting New York Sen. Hillary Clinton told them that Americans back home are growing increasingly skeptical of President Bush's decision to send them into battle.

Describing two meetings with G.I.s over turkey dinners in Baghdad, Sen. Clinton told reporters later that soldiers wanted to know "how the people at home feel about what we are doing."

Clinton said she told the troops, "Americans are wholeheartedly proud of what you are doing but there are many questions at home about the (Bush) administration's policies."

She also suggested that the U.S. could eventually loose the war in Iraq, contending, "We have to exert all of our efforts militarily, but the outcome is not assured."

Despite her sour pronouncements, the former first lady insisted that the soldiers were just as glad to see her as they were President Bush, whose surprise visit less than 24-hours earlier was greeted with standing ovations.

"It's a positive for the commander-in-chief to visit troops in the field," Clinton told reporters, adding, "the troops [also] seemed to appreciate seeing myself."

Speaking from a secure location just over the Kuwaiti border, Mrs. Clinton launched one verbal salvo after another at the White House, arguing that Bush officials had been "obsessed" with getting Saddam Hussein and saying the perception blinded them to the difficulties of deposing his regime.

"The Pentagon tried to make do with as few troops as possible, as light a footprint as they could get away with," Clinton said. "Now, we're playing catchup . . . Unfortunately, I don't think they fully appreciated the conditions we would encounter."

The top Democrat also reprised her charge that the White House is being less than candid when it comes to apprising the American people of the costs of the war.

"The obstacles and problems here are much greater than the administration usually admits to," she said, adding, "Everybody has to be honest."

You wouldn't happen to be in Gnawbone, Indiana would you? I reside in Indiana as well. Will you be calling Senators Bayh, Lugar, et al?

Maybe we could have signs made to LOOK like flaming torches. :o) I'm fed up with the wimpy responses of our representatives. Do I have to get out my old hippie clothes to demand justice? (Don't worry...I was a conservative hippie. Really...it's not an oxymoron.)

I just got home from the week-end. If this is true, she is toast. It will eventually have to be covered by someone in the mainstream.

If you think moveon is bad, try CPUSA, I did a google search for fun, typing in communist party support for democrats...apparently the communist party IS funding, at least partially the dems.

If I was a soldier over there, I wouldn't have spoken to this (w)itch if my CO ordered me to!

My Cheif ordered me to spend the morning at the base McDonald's once when Patsy Schroeder was supposed to visit my ship in fear that I would get into trouble in a similar fashion.

Not that I could watch today (t.v. hijacked by daughter), but apparently even FOX gave her a pass....we are hoping that Rush and Hannity will pick up for those who covered up the traitor.

MYSELF: You are absolutely right! Myself is a reflexive pronoun. When she struggles in answering reporters, she resorts to "you knows." How sad! Interviewed on the TV medium after her husband's indiscretions with La Monica she said, "Everyone is responsible for their own actions." "Everyone" is singular, "their" is plural. His (or her) would have been correct . Not only does she have poor grammar skills, she is truely an evil person. Who said she was the most brilliant woman on mother Earth?

My son, a career Army officer, was in Operation Desert Shield, and Operation Desert Storm. Uncapable of hate he once told me that if the "troops" were given a choice to attend, or not attend a formation for ex-President Clinton, most would not attend. I have complete disdain for this woman.

"I know I am somewhat late getting into this debate and haven't read all the responses, but Hillary was in Afganistan, not Iraq."

Actually, she was in Afghanistan,

then

Iraq.

"We need to buy every child we know a copy of Red Dawn..."

"Red Dawn" is a movie I try to watch a couple times a year just to remind me of what *could* happen.

In a democracy there is one proper response. I have written a check to the Bush 04 campaign and it will be mailed on Monday. I strongly suggest rather than cursing the darkness, accomplish something positive by lighting a candle.

"...We pray that churches throughout America would reject him and those who, like Hillary Clinton, Jacques Chirac, and Howard Dean, support Saddam Hussein with their anti-American propaganda. We pray that you silence these evil ones who would destroy the morale of our troops, our troop families, and our nation..."

Thank you for posting this prayer. I say "Amen!"

I know there are a lot of posts to get through. But ensure you read these two. I'm in the middle of exploring options with my judge/military friends from USAVHSSC. I want to see if there is anything we can do, plan of action, other than writing letters (still write letters; but this &%$#@ has to be pulled from power).
