Moderator note: I know it's going to be tough, but, please watch the calls for violence against this creature.

In a demoralizing message to U.S. soldiers serving in Iraq, visiting New York Sen. Hillary Clinton told them that Americans back home are growing increasingly skeptical of President Bush's decision to send them into battle.

Describing two meetings with G.I.s over turkey dinners in Baghdad, Sen. Clinton told reporters later that soldiers wanted to know "how the people at home feel about what we are doing."

Clinton said she told the troops, "Americans are wholeheartedly proud of what you are doing but there are many questions at home about the (Bush) administration's policies."

She also suggested that the U.S. could eventually loose the war in Iraq, contending, "We have to exert all of our efforts militarily, but the outcome is not assured."

Despite her sour pronouncements, the former first lady insisted that the soldiers were just as glad to see her as they were President Bush, whose surprise visit less than 24-hours earlier was greeted with standing ovations.

"It's a positive for the commander-in-chief to visit troops in the field," Clinton told reporters, adding, "the troops [also] seemed to appreciate seeing myself."

Speaking from a secure location just over the Kuwaiti border, Mrs. Clinton launched one verbal salvo after another at the White House, arguing that Bush officials had been "obsessed" with getting Saddam Hussein and saying the perception blinded them to the difficulties of deposing his regime.

"The Pentagon tried to make do with as few troops as possible, as light a footprint as they could get away with," Clinton said. "Now, we're playing catchup . . . Unfortunately, I don't think they fully appreciated the conditions we would encounter."

The top Democrat also reprised her charge that the White House is being less than candid when it comes to apprising the American people of the costs of the war.

"The obstacles and problems here are much greater than the administration usually admits to," she said, adding, "Everybody has to be honest."

BTW, did you know that hollowed out elephant legs are used as umbrella stands?

I know a pair that I would like to see in my foyer.

WOW...over 1400 posts directed at the hilliarry. I can't possibly say anything that has not already been said, but I just want to add my small voice to the list of Freepers condemning this horrid jezebel. The world will be a much better place on the day "she" is frog-marched off to hell by satan.

Sorry, but you are wrong, I have read every post and neither "horrid jezebel" or "on the day"she" is frog-marched off to hell by satan" had been mentioned until you did, (and I was waiting) now I can sleep and pick it back up tomorrow.

I go every day, so I must be talking about the feller who lets his wife take their little ones to church while he sleeps-in late.

I thought of using her face, but all of us would be shooting blind, covering our eyes!

All in good fun..

Stop kidding yourself, Bush is for that, only in a slightly different form. It was his pop's after all that coined the phrase, New World Order.

Both parties are Free Traders, in investigating the general defintion of Free Trade it involves dissolving sovereign borders, incorporating under International Law ruled on by unelected comissions negotiating treaties for now, common law later, while under undue influence by the U.N., see ICC court, and lots and lots of socialism.

If you will pay a vist to the FTTA site and poke around you will find much of their discussion on how to help courts hand down harsh sentences for any individual that objects to open border trade as being xenophobic and racist.

Bush sees Europe dissolving into one socialist trading block, in fact the world over is dissolving into trading blocs, and he rightly worries that this bodes ill for America maintaining it's status as Super Power if these blocs gain equal economic footing. His answer for that is to create a trading bloc in the Western Hemisphere and with Eastern Bloc nations, basically forming one state/trading bloc out of many nations.

He does this out of patriotism and a heartfelt concern for the future of the nation. He has said he wants to see a Free Trade Zone from the North of Canada to the tip of Cape Horn. He has made mention of forming a new type of alliance of nations that will hopefully marginalize the United Nations and the E.U.. He is a true believer in globalism if it is handled his way. A way that he feels will preserve America over all and instead of handing our fate over to the U.N. and the E.U., chooses a way that will make us well armed economic competitors.

He has made huge, bold gambles,"Pre-emptive Doctrine", and his push towards democratizing the world into democratic republics. He's hung his whole fate on it's success, along with his place in recorded history, and our future. He has grabbed the inititive away from socialist Democrats that want to melt America into a, me too, socialist slave to Europe and the U.N.. He's cutting the strings to Europe and he should. Europe is heading towards a dictator that will make Hitler look like a choir boy.

People may think me awful for saying we need to use the Patriot Act to deport socialists. But I can promise you that if socialists win this thing we will find ourselves as individual citizens neck deep in the U.N. led ICC which is already branching past war crimes into hate crimes, hate speech, and hate thought. You ay think that tin foil hat material but give me a decade before you set that opinion in concrete.

He is for amnesty of illegals, attempted to pass 245i twice, is for letting Mexico dip into our Social Security fund to the tune of 34 billion in five years, and promotes lax borders. His new Medicare Bill sends 190 million to hospitals along the border to help offset the cost of providing illegals with medical treatment. He sees globalism taking hold the world over and fears the US being weakened and left behind by it and is not above attempting to buy friends in this hemisphere.

So he plays the game his way, a way that takes the lead in
guiding this hemisphere into a oneness of purpose. If a government won't go along he will take the carrot to the people of those governments eventually.

He doesn't care a fig for Europe or the U.N. and their opinion any more than I do, he does fear the success of the direction they are heading and sees the only answer as being to copy the same here with the handicap of the nations of the Western hemisphere still being third worldish, and behind economically and educationally compared to Europe. He figgures we have to play catchup and yank the Western Hemisphere into this century.

I think that is wrong headed on many levels. As a Christian I see globalism leading to the Valley of Decision eventually, with the entire world making one compromise after another until all are under the rule of a very bad character until it all falls apart on him leading to WW3. As a conservative I see all of this as a threat to the Constitution, our sovereignty, and our American spirit, which is the only thing standing between us and the wolf at the door.

lol

the weird part to me after admittedly reading a bit of her early life's history, what we have here is a little girl grown into an elephant legged adult shrew who is acting out her frustration for never getting daddy's approval. (and being homely in my view)

Sad isn't it?...for us.

How our country suffers from her misplaced angst she will never resolve.

That is the core of liberals and relativists and social engineers: they project their own inadequacies and self induced psycho-trauma on the world.

When did they trade the sanitorium for politics?

History is full of folks in power acting out crap from their upbringing....more often than not.

I have seen hundreds of elephant feet made into little tables in Africa ...in the 80s.

Nah...I'm about to crash and will make the 10:30 service in the AM.

I am non-pious naturally but there is a limit to my hypocrisy....plus, it's just not right to make my wife do all the Christian upbringing for the lads.

You read Partners in Power, didn't you...

She was after her loathesome daddy's approval so badly that it hurt.

Of course, anyone who came home with straight A's, and had a daddy who would ask why she didn't get A+s, will have a tendency to be totally screwed up.

Wellesly finished the job.
