This may seem a little corny

Not really. Honesty isn't corny, it's honest. We do our best to make life a little better for those in need of our support.

Thanks for stopping in!

A blessed Thanksgiving to you Tonkin and all the wonderful posters and lurkers in the USO Canteen FReeper Style.

I'd like to thank all the guys and gals protecting us here and abroad (military and LEO's). What a job you have --- what a responsibility. May God bless you and keep you safe.

Well, the pumpkin pies have been baked, the orange-craberry muffin bread is done, and my BIG MEAL is ready to be cooked in the a.m.

Before I go, here is my Thanksgiving page for all of you online who would like to celebrate this special day.

A THANKSGIVING CELEBRATION!

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too, Kayak.
Thanks for stopping by with your wonderful message/graphic.

All the prep cooking and clean-up are done at the HJ household, and everyone has gone to bed. I guess I'll follow them, and call it a night.

See everyone in the morning.

Well Brit FT reporting that both France and Germany are running smack chat on US why new poll that got them in tizzy about Americans going to countries that gave us props during the war on Iraq

I tell you real reason I don't know about you but UK look more exciting for tourists than French do

All I know is that Napolean came from France

They surrender to Nazi Germany

Germany forgetaboutit

YOu want go to country NOOO I don't think so

Also I watching Access Hollywood on Wed night they report that they saw JACKO come to his parent crib in Encieno

And Jermaine gave camera man THE FINGER

Tomorrow is Coast Guard Day! Yippee! Your favorite day of the week. I hope you don't have too many reports to enter. Enjoy your duty day with your Brothers. Good night and sleep well, Tonkin. God bless you good for your service to our country, both those years ago, and now in the Coast Guard Auxiliary and the USO Canteen. *HUG* Good night to momma cat, run-a-muck, and Sylvester.

'TWAS THE NIGHT OF THANKSGIVING AND I JUST COULDN'T SLEEP.
I TRIED COUNTING BACKWARDS, I TRIED COUNTING SHEEP.

THE LEFTOVERS BECKONED - THE DARK MEAT AND WHITE
BUT I FOUGHT THE TEMPTATION WITH ALL OF MY MIGHT.

TOSSING AND TURNING WITH ANTICIPATION
THE THOUGHT OF A SNACK BECAME INFATUATION.

SO I RACED TO THE KITCHEN, FLUNG OPEN THE DOOR
AND GAZED AT THE FRIDGE, FULL OF GOODIES GALORE.

I GOBBLED UP TURKEY AND BUTTERED POTATOES,
PICKLES AND CARROTS, BEANS AND TOMATOES.

I FELT MYSELF SWELLING SO PLUMP AND SO ROUND,
'TIL ALL OF A SUDDEN, I ROSE OFF THE GROUND.

I CRASHED THROUGH THE CEILING, FLOATING INTO THE SKY
WITH A MOUTHFUL OF PUDDING AND A HANDFUL OF PIE.

BUT, I MANAGED TO YELL AS I SOARED PAST THE TREES . . .
"HAPPY EATING TO ALL - PASS THE CRANBERRIES, PLEASE."

MAY YOUR STUFFING BE TASTY, MAY YOUR TURKEY BE PLUMP,
MAY YOUR POTATOES 'N' GRAVY HAVE NARY A LUMP.

MAY YOUR YAMS BE DELICIOUS, MAY YOUR PIES TAKE THE PRIZE.
MAY YOUR THANKSGIVING DINNER STAY OFF OF YOUR THIGHS.

A PRAYER OF PROTECTION

The light of God surround you
The love of God enfold you
The power of God protect you
The presence of God watch over you
Wherever you are,God is,
And all is well.
Amen.

Bless This House

Bless this house O Lord we pray; Make it safe by night and day; Bless these walls so firm and stout, Keeping want and trouble out: Bless the roof and chimneys tall, Let thy peace lie over all; Bless this door, that it may prove ever open to joy and love. Bless these windows shining bright, Letting in God's heav'nly light; Bless the hearth a'blazing there, with smoke ascending like a prayer; Bless the folk who dwell within, keep them pure and free from sin; Bless us all that we may be Fit O Lord to dwell with thee; Bless us all that one day we May dwell O Lord with thee.
