The Democrats new Delusional Spin about Howard Dean
Nov/26/03 | jveritas

The more Howard Dean seems to be the democrats nominee for President the worse is the delusional state of democrats gets. The democrats do not want Howard Dean to be the nominee because deep in themselves they know he cannot beat President Bus in 2004. He is very liberal and far to the left on the vast majority of important issues. Therefore to save the face, the democrat pundits have begun a new delusional spin about Dean issue.

In the last few days some really desperate democrats are going on TV and radio telling us that the other democrat candidates attacks on how did Howard Dean balance the budget as a governor of Vermont is a great and positive thing for Dean. They claim that Gephardt and Kerry are attacking Dean for cutting some of Vermont social programs and this is great news for Dean because in the general election people will view him as a fiscal conservative. Oh really? Did those desperate pundits forget that Howard Dean is running on repealing the Bush tax cuts, i.e. increase our taxes. Oh yeah!!! Increasing taxes is great fiscal conservatism and it is very popular with the general public. Moreover these idiotic pundits forget or may be do not know the fact that when Dean was governor from 1994-2000 four of his annual budget increases exceeded GSP growth, including one whopping 23.7% increase, more than four times that year's GSP rise. Overall, Vermont state spending grew 83% under Dean from 1992 through 2001, 58% faster than the state's economy. Under Howard Dean Vermont became a socialist state run by the most liberal people on the planet. Another fact is that Vermont ranks in the top three most taxed states in the country. If the democrats are going to make Howard Dean Vermont an economical model for the nation then they are going to lose in a way beyond their imagination.

If Howard Dean will become the democrats nominee for President, then the American public will quickly learn that he is someone who has implemented socialism in Vermont when he was governor of that state and is someone who will raise their taxes if he becomes President. For this, he will lose very, very badly.

I work with a real flamin' lefty. An enviro-wacko, vegan Deanie-Bopper. I told her I was a member of "Republicans for DEAN" and that I have also supported Dean with campaign contributions.

She got all weird and excited and started telling me how great he was.

I told her about my "Republicans for DEAN" bumper sticker on my car and she was impressed...

she said, "I thought you liked Bush and his corporate friends?"

"Sure", I said, "and if Bush has to run against one of those candidates, then I want him to run against Dean, because he'll be the easiest to beat....."

No, no, you don't understand. Dean starts with the votes of those who voted for Gore (and after all, they're still mad about the outcome). He then adds the metrosexuals and the Southerners who fly Confederate flags in their pickups, and then picks a running mate from one of the states Gore narrowly lost--Janet Reno to ensure Florida, or Robert Byrd to ensure West Virginia, or Harold Ford to ensure Tennessee. Voila! He can't lose!

Very good one. However the sticker "republicans for Dean" may be misinterpreted by some of those "independents" voters that we need their votes but unfortunately a large portion of them are not very well informed and this sticker may give them the wrong impression.

Dean is governor of a state about the size of the county I live in (around 650,000 people).

Nobody seems to ever mention that he's the top govermment official in an state smaller than dozens of U. S metropolitan areas. Why should he even be a serious candidate?

If algore couldn't secure Tennessee for himself (you're welcome) the slick son of one of the most corrupt political families in Tennessee history sure as hell ain't gonna do it!

Does your husband bid tile jobs the same way I do - obvious liberals (Gore, Clinton, Dean and other such signs around the house) are list + 30%?

I was so hoping I would get a call to bid algore's remodel job in Belle Meade (Very affluent Nashville surburb). I would have probably given him my really special price - listX3. What the hell - after they saw the stickers on my truck I wouldn't have gotten the job anyway.

Ah, well, hummus where the heart is!

Frankly, from your description of her, I doubt she had that many domestic skills.

Somebody I read on FR (Mark Steyn, maybe?) said that Vermont is smaller than Baltimore and whiter than Stockholm.

Here in my town in California...we call the Chief Executive "civil servant" over 650,000 citizens --- Mayor!

Dean is proposing an ambitious leap up the ladder to go from Governor over a tiny elitist left wing "city" to President of the United States of America!
