It's an old memo, but their agenda hasn't changed. It could have been titled "101 ways to commit treason". Or 30,000+ ways?

I recommend forming an organization NaOH (Never a Orphaned Handgun) and neutralizing them.

Sounds scary but I can't shake the feeling it is a fabrication. It's been around several times and I've not seen information conclusively authenticating it.
Snopes.com wouldn't bother either way.

The new Communist Manifesto by a DemoRat controlled organization. Nothing surprising. I like this though:
Essential to the Neanderthal gun culture Me thinks Kennedy got this memo. Which, again, is not surprising now that we have confirmation the DemoRats have been handpuppets of many left-wing groups for years.
I'd love to see the "Confidential" memo HCI put out after 9/11. I'm sure it was similar to this but more pointed in its glee.

Sounds scary but I can't shake the feeling it is a fabrication. It's been around several times and I've not seen information conclusively authenticating it. I can't recall ever seeing it authenticated on the gun-related message boards, so it's source is in question. However, it could certainly be the work of one of the more rabid members of the anti-gun crowd; it contains elements that some of 'em have dared to mention in an unguarded moment.
I can't ever recall seeing HCI disavow it, either; perhaps that speaks loudest of all.

THe HCI guys may be many things, but they all went to college- this reads like it was written by someone who had not.
They may agree with most of the items in here, but I think it's a fake memo.
To: boris
Even if this is a phoney memo it still would find many on the left in agreement with most or all of it's contents.
Sportsmen must realize that supporting pro 2A Democrats end up helping the antis hold power in government. The current Democrats must be defeated politically, then they might reject the socialist desires within their party or splinter into the old patriotic Dems w/o so many nuts.

THe HCI guys may be many things, but they all went to college- this reads like it was written by someone who had not. Actually I don't think it sounds much different than their usual screeds. Maybe a bit toward the hysterical end of what they officially release, but not all that much different. Have you read some of that bovine scat? If you've got a really strong stomach, you can at The Brady Campaign which is the successor org to HCI. I particularly direct your attention to their "assault weapon" screed.
However, Jeff Chan at rkba.org thinks the copy, non electronic, that he was given was a fake, and thus that whole thing is a FRAUDULENT attempt to discredit arms rights groups and individuals. He even names the person who gave it to him, or that name that person "was using" to be precise.

14 Elimination of the Curio Relic list A gun is a gun. Even an old gun can kill people. This is a loop hole in the federal law which has allowed thousands of dangerous weapons to be distributed unchecked. This regulation, if enacted, would automatically eliminate the need for a Curio or Relic collector's license. All handguns, rifles and shotguns would fall into the same category as their modern counterparts.

Geez, they want a fricken police state! They don't give a flying f*** for the 4th amendment. At least, they were aware that they proposed violating the 1st, though of course they don't care.

"Is this one real or bogus?" I can't say, Trav. Even if it isn't genuine, this laundry list of totalitarian desires most succinctly sums up HCI's (and workalike groups) tyrannical agenda.
Prepare and act accordingly.

I don't know if it's real or bogus, but it's 10 years out of date. This was going around back when the AW ban was being debated.
The days when the gun-banners could hope to succeed with this sort of agenda have passed, at least for the present time. Even the idiots over at DU seem to be opening up their minds on the subject of gun rights.

Even the idiots over at DU seem to be opening up their minds on the subject of gun rights.Nope. What they see is those politicians who attach themselves to anti-gun efforts find their base of support eroding. They've simply decided having a cozy relationship with gun-controllers is a kiss of death politically, unless you're Feinstein, Schumer or big Teddy Kennedy.
