The days when the gun-banners could hope to succeed with this sort of agenda have passed, at least for the present time. Even the idiots over at DU seem to be opening up their minds on the subject of gun rights.
Nope. What they see is those politicians who attach themselves to anti-gun efforts find their base of support eroding. They've simply decided having a cozy relationship with gun-controllers is a kiss of death politically, unless you're Feinstein, Schumer or big Teddy Kennedy.
