A new bombshell revelation in the Kobe Bryant case threatens to destroy the credibility of the prosecutions key witness - whose testimony could send the basketball superstar to jail for years. Sources told GLOBE that the 19-year-old woman who has accused Bryant of rape told them she had sex with the prosecutions star witness Bobby Pietrack - a week before she met Bryant.
Pietrack, a 23-year-old bellhop at the resort where the alleged rape took place, is the first person Katelyn Faber told about her encounter with Bryant. He can testify about her emotional state and physical appearance at the time.
But legal experts tell us that if there was a sexual encounter between Katelyn and the bellhop, it could wreck his credibility and sink the case of the Eagle County, Colo., prosecutor.
For all the details of this blockbuster story, pick up the new issue of GLOBE.

That's right, Jim. You chose the name "Free Rebuplic" with a principled purpose, and this is one example.

I directed a post at you because you admonished me about "name-calling."
This is the second time now that I've had an encounter with you on one of these threads where you go on about how I'm misdirecting a post RIGHT AFTER you post something to me.
I'm sorry, I didn't know I wasn't allowed to explain why I called WackyKat a name.

Nope. I don't claim to know that for a fact and I never stated I knew anything for a fact regarding that. Why?
I tend to think her bleeding as much as she did tends to indicate force by Bryant. Force would tend to indicate against her will.
The testimony is the bellhop knew she was going to the room, so I don't think he'd be surprised to see her coming out.

btw, when you're planning on talking trash, its customary to at least have the stones to ping the target. Yeah, sounds like you know all about stones. Now why don't you go clip-clop back to your stable and I'll ping you when I have something to say to the likes of you.

Well, we're still waiting on word of who he might have been with.
Let's assume he was with his wife(though I'm starting to wonder about that.)
Another thing, mara, this is America. He doesn't have to PROVE he's innocent. The prosecutor has to prove his guilt and beyond a reasonable doubt and if you think this girl is credible, then you'd send any man to jail.
I've noticed that with a lot of posters this has become a man/woman issue. But rape, unlike other crimes, is much more falsely reported and especially wealthy or famous men have often found themselves the target of such allegations.
So as it stands now, I have to stand by Bryant's presumption of innocence. But not just legally, objectively as well.

I heard an interview on one of the cable news networks about a month ago with a guy that worked with the accuser. I am not sure if is the guy referred to in this article. The guy was a terrible interview and said virtually nothing. One thing I do remember is that the host asked him how long he had personally known the accuser and he answered he did not have a personal relationship with the accused and that he only knew her at work. I thought at the time that it was a strange reply. Did anyone else see this? I believe it was on the MSNBC show at 6 pm pst. I cannot remember the hosts name.

"A finding by a jury that they both are guilty?"
Sometimes a DA will file a case even though your question may not lead them to a reasonable likelihood of conviction. Maybe the DA felt this was just one of those cases.

The burden to prove guilt has always been the prosecutor's job, but try convincing 'some' people of that little factoid. :)

I tend to think her bleeding as much as she didThere has been no testimony that she bled "so much." The only thing testified to has been miniscule spots that were UNSEEN without a telescope; and I mean on her and on his shirt.
so I don't think he'd be surprised to see her coming out.
I think you know what I meant: that he may have seen her looking disheveled and she made this all up.
If you haven't truly already made up your mind, you should at least be open to that possibility.

You're saying that was supposed to explain why you called someone a "dolt"?
You didn't justify it by any stretch.

Hey,
I am confused too....
She coulda had sex 10 minutes before she she walked into Kobe's room...
and yes folks,
~~GASTHP!~~
she STILL could have been raped.
WHY is this a crime where the victim has to prove innocence.
Geez,
Sometimes I feel like I am sitting with the Taliban on these threads.
Ladies,
Pay close attention.

They've never tested it, have they? Enquiring minds want to know! They have the sample as evidence, the bellhop thus far has refused to submit to a DNA sample. If it is his fresh semen in her panties on the day after the alleged rape, this case is over.
