Can MSNBC.com and other news agencies be anymore blatently biased? (Vanity)

Right now MSNBC.COM has on its front pages that 100,000 protestors are expected to protest the current war on Iraq. They are still reporting this even after the measley 300 protestors showed up after the ariival of Bush the other day. To continue their blatent bias MSNBC also has a link about protestors protesting here in the U.S. to coincide with those in the UK. Why is noone calling this new service for what it is? 300 protestors is hardly news if you were to ask me. But to add fuel to the fire since MSNBC cannot get to their goal of 100,000 protestors they now have to add in those here in the U.S. to hopefully reach that objective. This news agency as well as other are so blatently biased it makes me sick!!! Additionally, over the weekend, A white House paper or a CIA report DIRECTLY linking Al-Queda to Iraq was leaked and what news service carried this? Fox News. Any others you ask? NADA, ZILCH, ZERO. Why are these news agencies now hiding what the majority of us here already knew? Why are they so scewed in their coverage that this would not be late breaking news? It is really sickening what is going on in the media and I think it high time to call them on it!!!

Media biased? Surely you jest! They would never make stuff up, or push stories to make the Left look good, or push stories that make the Right look bad. No way. Couldn't happen. I trust the media to give us fair, balanced, nonbiased reporting. I trust the media to report news, rather than manufactur news. Really. Honest. I mean that.

Why do you even bother wasting your time visiting the site in the first place? Do you expect things to change there - ever? Just ignore them and maybe one day they'll go away. I constantly read about people complaining how biased their newspaper is, or about the NY Times. The best way to let all these media know how you feel is to stop spending your time and money on them. Don't subscribe to them, don't watch them on TV, and don't go to their websites. It's as simple as that.

I agree with your remark we must keep well informed. I hate to move out of my comfort zone by listening or watching some of the alphabet networks and the two in particular biased news outlets, but I feel on occasion when my stomach can stand it, I should listen to their latest slant on the stories of the day.

We all gravitate to the agreeable news and it is hard work listening to people we believe are honestly doing a good job for us in government for example insulted and condemned for doing what they believe to be the best for our country.

Our local paper had a story one day of a group in a Far East country gathered around a television set at the airport watching one of the Democratic Candidate debates. He wrote how embarrassed he was that the world was watching Americans calling each other down, like doing our laundry in public.

I agreed with his feelings, as it is uncomfortable for the world to look upon us as fools (and the candidates were doing their best to prove it), however I told him that he must consider the alternative:

1. That the candidates would not be allowed to speak their pre-election opinions, and even worse,

2. That there would be no opposing candidates at all.

Perhaps the rest of the world will understand, we as a great nation can allow for dissent and outspoken opinion over the television to the public and even the world, because we value and cherish our great Freedom of Speech.
Even if the speech is inaccurate and barbed. It is allowed.
