That is the question of the year. I don't know...it seems like some people just get starstruck and think they "know" a celebrity when they honestly don't know squat about him. As a consequence, they get a false sense of security in the belief that nobody famous would ever do anything awful or irresponsible.

Michael Jackson was a superstar when he was eight years old. He has never had a normal life, not ever. Maybe he molested the kids, and if so, he deserves what he gets. BUT we see all kinds of stories about Jackson ... where are the investigative news stories on the backgrounds and past of the parents of the kid making the charges? Jackson's life since childhood has been so bizarre, and my personal knowledge of truly eccentric and very creative people is extensive enough, that frankly, I can believe it when he talks about "bed" and milk and cookies and such, no sex involved.

I will rate him innocent until proven guilty. Not because I'm a big Michael Jackson fan -- I'm not -- but because I know that kids can lie, and I know for certain sure that many parents will have their kids lie when the jackpot is a few million dollars. People who think not are as naive as Michael Jackson is for thinking that society will give him a pass for his weird way of dealing with kids. The thing is, Jackson's whole life makes the possiblity of such naivete on his part believable. The kid's parents lack that excuse entirely.
