Gov. Jeb Bush fired a volley of legal shots Wednesday at the husband of a brain damaged woman who is at the center of a right to die case, saying there needs to be a jury trial on whether Terri Schiavo wanted to be kept alive artificially. The governor also sought to remove Pinellas Circuit Court Judge W. Douglas Baird from hearing the constitutionality of the new law enacted to keep Terri Schiavo alive after her feeding tube was removed last month. In yet a third legal filing, the governor argues that Terri Schiavo's rights under the Florida Constitution are being protected, not violated.
Terri Schiavo went for six days without food and water after her husband Michael Schiavo removed her feeding tube. Florida lawmakers and Bush intervened, enacting a hastily drawn law that allowed the governor to order the feeding tube be reinserted.
Michael Schiavo has challenging the constitutionality of the governor's action. He contends his wife had said she did not want to be kept alive artificially before she suffered severe brain damage in 1990. Doctors have ruled she has been in a persistent vegetative state since, but her parents believe she is aware of her surroundings and could be rehabilitated.
Bush's attorney Ken Connor said a jury has to establish what Terri Schiavo's wishes were before a court can decide whether her private health care wishes were violated.
George Felos, Michael Schiavo's attorney, could not immediately be reached for comment.
Terri Is Being Sedated. Why?
The title says it all.
My Tampa Bay eyewitnesses report that Terri is being given drugs to sedate her. Why? Could it be for the same reasons that Rus Cooper-Dowda was sedated whenever she started to try to get people's attention that she was 'in there' ? "When I Woke Up..." . Rus is for real; a really smart cookie -- now thriving in St. Petersburg, Florida and doing the vigil thing for Terri. But her husband, too, was trying to do her in while she appeared - mind you, only 'appeared' comatose. What's with these 'spouses'? You should read Rus's story which is quite humorous and triumphant. Blah on the husband-doctor-would-be-murderer!
I mean, if Terri is really 'brain dead' and would not mind in the least a slow painful dehydration and starvation lingering death, she doesn't need any kind of sedation, you know. If she is being sedated it's because someone does not want to have her heard, or her reactions to stimuli noted. So if she is agitated, could be she is upset about something. I wonder what.
If anybody wants to help save Terri (and your granma', your daughter, your dad, your mom, your sister, your brother, and maybe even yourself in the future) from the wolves, write the Florida Senators and House Representatives. Terri's Fight. You can do it. They will listen. Jeb Bush did.

Go before the defenders of Terri into the courtroom, Lord, for they are David against Goliath. They appear before the judge with so little .. without fame and without fortune, representing one disabled woman on behalf of one ordinary family. They approach the bench with truth and hope and extraordinary love, but time and time again, they are turned away. May it be different this time, Father God ... for we know that You stand with Terri's legal team .. that You are the author of the love this family has for their own .. that You, alone, hold the life of Terri in Your hand, while those who rule and petition against her, think otherwise. Continue to be her Shield and Defender, as You have these many years. Turn the smooth flow of deadly language spoken by the merchants of death into a vile display of true intent .. may the people see and understand and recoil in horror, for we are witness to a planned, national murder. Uphold those who would defend her .. sweep away those who would harm her .. may this dear child soon rejoin the warmth of her family for days yet filled with happiness.
Thank You, Heavenly Father, for the blessings You have bestowed upon those who have rallied to Terri's side .. thank You that You have worked in the highest offices in Florida to put Terri's name before the world .. thank You that You have brought alongside legal and emotional and spiritual support for this family. Give clarity and conviction to her cause .. send confusion and fear to the merchants of death. We continue to uphold all that is Terri before You, Creator God .. the One, True, Righteous Judge. Bring to us, I pray, an earthly judge who will proclaim justice for this mother's child .. for the sake of Jesus, Amen ...
Anyone who says tht these peopel, or evenmany peopel in a Coma , can not communicate is hogwash. CP doesn't understand that , because in order to communicate with someone in that condition, one has to think out of the box, believe in a life force, and have the ability to stop thinking only of themselves for as long as it takes to have a back and forth between two people.
IMO, CP is incapable of doing any of those things. He has shown us that numerous times on this forum.
Please do not let him bother you or upset you. I understand how you feel, but CP is in his own "prison" and he will never escape that until he meets his maker. That is for the two of them to decide what should happen to such a heartless, arrogant, crass person.

4. type in "SCHIAVO" (do NOT type in "Schiavo, Michael" or "Schiavo v. Bush" - it will not return any info).
5. Click, on the far left column under "Link To," the doc symbol on the line showing that MICHAEL SCHIAVO is a Plaintiff, in a DECLARATORY action, against BUSH (Case No. 03008212CI).
You will then be brought to where the legal documents filed with the case are presented in chronological order. At the bottom of the table, you may click "next page" for the next set of documents filed, in chronological order.
FYI, unless you are a subscriber, you are limited to 50 inquiries per day, per computer. I lack funds right now to purchase one (cost: $60.00 per month), otherwise, I would certainly do so.
That's the first thing I read when I logged on this a.m. Good news. I don't understand the mentality of those who post on threads which they claim are of no concern or interest to them, upon which they hurl insults and ridicule to the 99% who do post......bespeaks their lack of intelligence and, in the instant case, utter selfishness and human decency.
