Was Timothy McVeigh anti-Semitic? Sorry if it's a dumb question -- I honestly don't know. No, and you shouldn't pay any attention to John Doe number 2 or the Iraq connection. Nothing to see here.

Well, given the reference to McVeigh, and McVeigh's near worship of the Turner Diaries, it seems to me that this could easily be the work of some group of neonazi sympathizers.
McVeigh, as the article points out, was executed in Terre Haute, and it wouldn't surprise me if this was a reaction by some nutjob to that execution.
Those who aren't familiar with The Turner Diaries may not be aware of the intense antisemitic nature of that book and of those who espouse the sentiments expressed in it. McVeigh certainly was, though.
It seems a long stretch to me to put this on some mythical Muslim extremists, who are unlikely to dedicate a terrorist act like this one to McVeigh. There are, however, numerous folks who might just do so.
Just musing....

Go to southern IN, particularly those towns around Hoosier National Forest. They're still there.

Old Lady Semple's check.

The only things I really remember Trash burning were a church, and then an entire tank farm.

I have read and re-read that book about a dozen times. Lots of little things you miss that are discovered each time through.
The movie/mini series sucked.

Nah - that was one of the most vivid images of that book, and stuck with me.
The one thing King wrote about that he didn't know jack s*** about (nor bothered researching) was the military/political/disease control side. He still could have gotten to where he was, but should rewrite all those parts for a proper 21st century version.

Cheery Oil.

Inbred peckerwoods with nothing to do and not enough basketball to watch on the black & white on the front porch which is fully appointed with a dog couch, beer cooler, and posters of Ned Beatty.Yeah, it's a democrat town alright.

But I loved Kareem Abdul-Jabbar shouting "BRING OUT YOUR DEAD!" and then saying "The Dark Man is coming for you, Larry!"
That was amazingly over-the-top.

Just poking around Google, it seems there are a number of Indiana organizations with some sort of grudge against Judaism, in general. Add to that Terre Haute being the place of McVeigh's execution, and this points pretty clearly to some nutcase individual or organization associated with the Christian Identity movement. At least it seems that way to me.
I shall send a check to this museum to aid in the restoration.

I don't think folks affiliated with that culture are too hard to find up there...I used to live in Clinton, before I joined the military, and my practice wife was from there...maybe they aren't active- to answer your question clearly though, I haven't been to Indiana in some years, so I guess I should qualify my statement, and make it opinion instead...

I was wondering if the KKK was active in the area. More around Bloomington and Ellettsville- Spencer. There's a group of about 20 in Knox County, in Bicknell and Vincennes. The most sizable group in the state is around Vevay, near the Kentucky state line on the Ohio river.
