If that happened to your child would you let it go with a payoff? Or would you see it through until the guy was in jail? Good question. Here's another: Do you think that getting a conviction back in '93, when Jackson was arguably still the biggest name in entertainment, was very likely? And another: If advised by competent counsel that a conviction was never going to happen, would you accept a payoff that forever taints Jackson with the presumption of guilt?

We are talking about little boys sleeping with adult men. Just doesn't seem normal to me..... It would bother me if my grown sons preferred to sleep with little boys, instead of a wife... just like it would bother me if my husband did same thing, or slept with other women. Maybe it is just me, but it would most certainly bother me. I don't think M Jackson should be sleeping with little boys, I really thought he had stopped that after all the lawsuits/payoffs.

That photo is just plain creepy! You would think if you spent THAT much money on plastic surgery, hair, makeup, clothes, etc., you would look better than that.

Well, at 19 i probably wouldn't do that. I was maybe 14-15 i guess. The 3 of us were terrified. 3 panicked women alone during the night with very very bad weather. No chance were any of us sleeping in a room alone. (just ask JYD how bad I get during a storm.. if you knew me you'd realize how nutty I get during a bad storm)
And if you think that's bad.. you should've seen where I slept when I was on a mission trip in honduras. 4 women in a king size bed for 9-10 nights. (roaches and crabs and lizards on the floor and no extra beds) I was maybe 16ish at the time, my best friend with us 15ish and the other two women were in their 30s.

and I would never sleep with my girlfriend and her mom in the same bed. I'd rather sleep on the floor, or on a couch or sitting up in a chair myself.

I agree with you on that one 100%!

I wouldn't take one lousy cent but prosecution would depend on the kid and if I thought the child could deal with it. I might settle for an agreement that Jackson go on tv and admit he did it and say no child was safe with him. I would hope a child of mine would be able to testify and deal with the aftermath. But kids are not always able to do that. In any case this mom sounds like she was complicit. And why didn't the Dad do something, sure he was the non custodial parent, but did he know that his son was sleeping with Jackson.

Don't forget, Anthony Pellicano was the person who negotiated the settlement on behalf of Jackson. Not a lawyer, but a scumbucket PI.

You wouldn't like our weather, south of Houston. Yesterday and last night the rain and wind and tornadoes and flooding. My patio table sits in a million pieces of glass on the patio. I need to sweep up the shards. My brand new umbrella got messed up pretty bad. It hit all of a sudden and dumped rain and wind, etc. on us. My house is still here and my trees, but it sure is windy out there. It isn't this windy during a hurricane. I am getting pretty shaken up right now, wish the wind would STOP~

What if MJs monkeys grew wings and flew around the yard? I don't really know anything about the Pellicano guy but if someone threatened me like that I'd tell the cops to add that to the case.

Fox news says that it is a CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION.....AT LEAST 20 people are searching the ranch including DA's. Jackson and his kids are not there.

But I guess I am just congenitally suspicious of people who want to sleep with other people's kids. Well ya, if they are showing a great desire to, I would be to. But sometimes it's out of convenience. I have had to share a bed with nephews because of lack of sleeping space at different places (camping, hotels, ect).
But you were a little hypocritical in your statement saying NO ONE other than parents, then go on to say "altho my daughter allows her sons age 5 and 7 to sleep with me". So basically, NO ONE but a child's parents and cajungirl should sleep in the same bed with a child.
I think 5 is probably a good cutoff point for children of the opposite sex, but it extends quite a bit more for the same sex.

Maybe I'm just sexist, but somehow sleeping in the same bed with a friend and her mom during a storm doesn't seem inappropriate at all to me. But, sleeping with her and her DAD in the same bed durng a storm does. Hmmm...
To: Hildy
You are SO extreme...just like how California would to hell in a handbasket if Schwartzenegger were elected. I read the kid's deposition right now. Even if every single thing in that deposition were true, I don't see Jackson as a mortal danger to any child who crosses his path.
Staying on topic: I rest my case.

It's all about moral support. :) I flip out if i'm home alone or alone with the kids during a storm. I have been known to make my hubby come home from work just so I'm not alone or go to my parents house and get in their storm shelter.

Those are good reasons. The jumping in bed with the parents when you were little, if you came home from spending the night and told me you did that, I don't think you'd have been going back.

Private Eye Vows to Not Help With Probe
Associated Press
LOS ANGELES - Hollywood private eye Anthony Pellicano, who is going to prison for possessing illegal explosives, says he won't cooperate with authorities investigating whether he secretly taped conversations of celebrities and their lawyers.
Pellicano told the Los Angeles Times earlier that the lawyers and celebrities he worked for over the years are innocent.
"They did nothing wrong," he said. "The government should leave them alone. And me, I'm going to take this punishment like a man. I will not participate in any way, shape or form with this investigation."

I actually realized I have a hierarchy of suspicious ideas about adults sleeping with children. Women relatives, grandmothers and aunts and great grandmothers may sleep with any child under the age of 10. Men relatives may not sleep with any child unless his own over the age of 5. Noone should sleep with little boys if he is male and the child is over five. No male should sleep with a girl unless she is his daughter, mom is in the bed and the daughter is under three. I think I may be a very suspicious person.
To: buffyt
I'm not defending Michael. He's a freak and I wouldn't trust any child with him. I was speaking to your blanket statement that NO ONE but parents should EVER share a bed with a child.
