There are all types in the military, just as in any profession. (I've been there and I know of what I speak). Putting your "utmost faith" in someone just because of his former profession is probably a bad idea, especially when it involves politics. And McCain was a lousy pilot.

Military service has little to do with it, however, I think they need to pay closer attention to the men they promote.

McCain only had three missions before getting taken out of action. Who the &*%^$*! promoted Clark?

Thanks for pointing us to the video. I watched it and I don't think Clark comes off nearly as badly as has been suggested on this thread.

It's obvious he was trying to deflect attention from his blunderous "sideshow" statement, but I think he sounds indignant more than crazy.

Even so, Mary must've quit, because he's messing up more and more as time goes on. He's totally unqualified to be president, that's unarguable.

John McCain was trashed as a military man and now Wesley Clark is being trashed. I have the utmost faith in military people who have given so much to and for this country. Most military men are not going to be "fast on the trigger" because they have been there and know of what they speak.

My husband is a West Point graduate and military man and he is not "fast on the trigger" and none of the truly fine military members that we know are. They are taught to think at West Point and not to simply react as Clark did today with David Asman. Clark is not respected by the majority of those in the military, especially by those who know him and had to work under him. Wesley Clark trashes himself with his irrational behavior and as for John McCain, it was not his military background that brought him disdain, it is his ego and liberal views.
