On September 6, 1986 another bomb-raid was directed against the Neve Shalom Synagogue, which was carried out by foreign-origin terrorists and killed 22 Jewish Turkish citizens. Another bomb-attack on the same synagogue took place in 1992.

I hope it isn't offensive to say that this is the Christ of synagogues.

Turkey is a rare near-secular Islamic state, and for it to let it publicly appear that it was letting Israel be a partner in its in-state investigations, would be like bringing a spark to a powderkeg.

Sounds to me like the person who said this would happen was correct.
