We've got all hell breaking loose in Iraq and the Mideast. We've got the Dems in the Senate for the first time in history denying a bipartisan majority of senators their right to vote on judicial nominees.

You've got commentators saying the President should be "Hanged." Presidential candidates calling the President a "Gang Leader." Terrorists are threatening to blow us up just about every day. Environmentalists are threatening to blow us up if we keep driving our cars. PETA is threatening to blow us up if we keep eating meat.

Linda Vester is one of the smartest women in Television and what do they have her doing? They've got her talking to some grandma about how she feels about Scott Peterson.

Enough with the Talk Back Live/Dayside Garbage! Its trash! I want good solid political debate. I don't want to know what Ed from Sacramento thinks about Scott Peterson's facial expressions.

Hannity and Colmes has started a bad habit of beginning their show with Scott/Laci Peterson and calling it their "Top Story." Thats not a top story.

Soldiers being attacked or attacking is a top story. bin laden or Saddam being captured is a top story. People must still be watching or they wouldn't be showing this awful crap!

I want good political debate. As much as I detest it, I would much rather hear Hannity debating with Liberals rather than Scott/Laci/Kobe/.

I've told this story I'm about to tell before, but I'll tell it again for the sake of this commentary. One night I went to bed with the TV on. I woke up in the middle of the night to hear someone screaming.

I quickly looked up and around only to see that it was Rita Cosby screaming at this newspaper editor on TV.

"YOU CAN'T DO THIS!" she screeched!

"THIS IS CENSORSHIP! ARE YOU CRAZY" she screamed!

The story goes that a newspaper editor in Colorado got so many complaints about the over coverage of Scott/Laci/Kobe that he ordered a blackout of the story in his newspaper.

Rita had the owner of the paper on as well at the same time she had on the Newspaper Editor. The Editor was sitting next to Rita, and the owner of the paper was LIVE via satellite.

The owner said that he disagreed with the decision not to cover the Peterson case and Kobe Bryant but that he deliberatly left these decisions up to his editors.

Rita attempted to get the Owner to then fire the editor on the air.

"I THINK SOME CHANGES NEED TO BE MADE AT YOUR PAPER SIR! THIS IS CENSORSHIP! YOU NEED TO GET SOME NEW EDITORS!" Rita yelled.

"WILL YOU BE FIRING HIM?" Rita asked.

The owner replied that he didn't think termination was neccessary and repeated that he disagreed with the decision but that he lets the editors make all the decisions.

"THATS RIDICULOUS!" Rita yelled.

If we get enough people to complain about this we can get this coverage stopped. Imagine how wonderful it would be if Foxnews were to order a complete blackout on this story just like the Newspaper Editor in Colorado did.

Rita Cosby would be looking for a new job!

We've got the numbers in order to influence them. I'm pretty sure O"Reilly is sick of the Laci Peterson stuff as well. When he tosses to Hannity and Colmes he has to say whats coming up on their show.

He usually shakes his head and says "Laci Peterson Again..." with a smirk on his face

Lets make this an ongoing campaign. Boycott Scott Peterson, Laci Peterson, and Kobe Bryant!!!

Greta can have her little legal discussions but keep them ON The Record and Off shows like Hannity and Colmes and Dayside!

I posted the same type of vanity on this a few weeks ago. FOXNEWS needs to be "reloaded". The Condit01 worm diverted their coverage until it was rebooted by the 9/11 attack; but alas shortly after the Peterson02 and Kobe03 viruses got loaded. Nasty things they are...capable of diverting attention from the most critical of stories.

You know, that sure is an unteresting observation. You're right. 10, 15 years ago, I used to hear people say this; I used to hear then say "Hey, I live in a free country. I can do that if I want."

I don't hear that AT ALL any more. I think people simply sense that they DON'T live in a free country.

Have you ever thought about just turning your tv off? Or try the Home and Garden channel--it's much better for your blood pressure---LOL!

I actually did tune out tv during the Bush election mess. I was just sitting there like everyone else--hanging on every word that was said, and switching channels--and, and, you know the drill--waiting for something to happen! All of a sudden, it dawned on me how stupid this was. Sooner or later, we'd know who the president was, and other than curiousity, I had no reason to HAVE to know it at that minute.

I got up, turned off the tv, and didn't turn it on again until 9-11. I watched (in horror) for the next couple of days, then turned it off again--and have left if off.

It's surprising how much nicer life is with the idiot box. Anything you want to know about can be found on the internet--and you can choose what you want to read. It's great--I barely know who Lacy Peterson is, Kobe is a city in Japan to me, and I don't have to suffer fools like this Rita Cosby you are talking about.

I remember about two month's ago they had a Foxnews Alert because Scott Peterson spoke. No Kidding. It was the first time he had spoken in public.

They replayed it over and over and over and over again.

Then they debated the implications of what he said. Then they debated his facial expressions while he spoke.

Why? Because you stand to gain personally if she helps you? How do you feel about her journalism? What about the night of the final SCOTUS ruling on the Florida presidential election, when she glanced at the ruling and said Bush had finally lost, or some such words? What about her constant and shrill references to 'my sources' when obviously she's just parroting whatever ANYONE tells her? What about the tabloidy quality of her work? I am SO with you! I was wondering when someone was going to "crack" and start a thread like this. THANK YOU for starting this one.

I may be the FoxFan ping list FReeper, but I definitely don't watch FNC as much as I did even a few weeks ago since it's "gone tabloid". As another FReeper mentioned, the only two shows worth watching lately are "Special Report with Brit Hume" and Cavuto's show, which I rarely get to see (4pm ET).

On a typical night now, my husband and I watch "Kudlow & Cramer" (CNBC) at 8pm, "Capitol Report" (CNBC) at 9pm then "Scarborough Country" (MSNBC) at 10pm. I sincerely would rather listen to the Senate filibuster than hear all the latest news about Scott/Amber/Kobe!

If they think we care about these cases then at least find a different one each day or week. How hard can it be? Murders and kidnappings happen 24/7 all over the country. Better yet balance the crap that ABC, CBS, and NBC pour out in their investigations. Like tonight on ABC turns out Bushs tax breaks are being used with luxury SUVs. The line quipped that is COST me and you 1.3 billion dollars. How? How are tax breaks and cuts COSTING me anything if my tax rate is not going up?
