The Al-Qaeda terror network claimed responsibility for a suicide bombing that killed 17 people in Riyadh and warned the next targets would be in the Gulf, the United States and Iraq, a Saudi weekly said.
"Al-Qaeda has claimed responsibility for the bomb attacks on al-Muhaya in Riyadh this past Saturday and said in an e-mail message received by one of our correspondents in Dubai that the next strikes will be in the Gulf, America and Iraq," said Al-Majalla, which is published from London each Friday.
The message was sent by Qaeda operative Abu Mohammed al-Ablaj, who is in regular contact with the publication, said a statement.
Ablaj warned those "who work and live with Americans" that "their killing was permitted" according to religious edicts.
He also warned of "coming strikes in the rest of the Gulf", but did not provide further details saying only "the circle will widen".
The previous message from Ablaj, in which he also warned of coming attacks, was published by Al-Majalla in its last edition.
Saudi officials and analysts have said that the midnight Saturday attack using an explosives-laden vehicle bore the marks of al-Qaeda, which had been blamed by Saudi authorities for the May 12 bombing of another housing compound in Riyadh, which left 35 dead.
The London-based daily Al-Hayat said that Saudi authorities have arrested several people in connection with the latest attack, but provided no numbers.

AQ is an interesting brand of terrorist. Of the top 5 leaders, the rest are just loose cannons with permission to take care of the "small" stuff. Wonder just what the "big guns" have planned.

Wait, weren't all the Muslims supposed to leave NY, LA, etc. -yesterday- because that's when the big one was coming down and multiple cities were going to be blown off the map? What happened to -that- big plan?

Brave words for a young person living no where near a target area. When are you enlisting? I figure with your attitude you can't wait to get in the fight.

I posted a thought o another thread ... the 36+25+36 ... this is for all the conspiracy types:
Nov 23rd is the second eclipse. 97 Hours generally refers to Longitude ... Irving TX, home of America's Team, will be hosting a nationally televised game (FOX) on Nov 23rd. Irving is at 97W Longitude. Home state of GWB. Coincidence? Maybe, but it makes as much sense as any other decipherment I've seen...

I'm here in NYC and agree with you but beware, there are some out there who have criticized me and others as being "too close" to the action and winers. Stay the course and let the rest of them know that talk is cheap. If they want to fight, then either get involved as you say or as the Boy Scouts motto says...Be Prepared!!
On another subject, is's very sad about today's bombing in south Iraq and the loss of Italian lives. As the rest of the world gets involved for freedon and its cause, bad things can and do happen. OTOH, I would not want to pi$$-off the Italians, both in Italy and here.

Brave words for a young person living no where near a target area. When are you enlisting? I figure with your attitude you can't wait to get in the fight. People need to have some outlet. We can't all go hunt terrorists. But we all seek justice. We want to see Al Qaida crushed. May I humbly suggest giving folks a little latitude? I was on Church St. on 9-11 at 8:46. I was on Water St. when the South Tower fell. I was on the East River Drive when the North Tower fell. I watched it with my own eyes. Heard it with my own ears. I saw your profile. I understand what you have experienced. But people all over the country feel a part of the fight, and are a part of the fight. These emails spook a lot of people, and yet we can't let fear take over. I think it's OK for people to puff up a little bit and laugh at their fears. It's not a bad thing. Just something to think about.
Respectfully,
Huck

Apparently the loss of Iraqi lives in the latest attack and many previous attacks is not deemed worthy of mention? I know George Bush thinks that the Iraqis need democracy so much he will send our young people to die for it, but the administration feels that counting the number of deaths of those same Iraqis is not worth the bother. The Iraqis who are getting killed are the ones who are helping us, and they are dying because of it. It seems we owe them at least a mention, if we can't be bothered to actually care about them.

I said it too and I also live in Georgia. I served for 8 years and had to go to that s#!thole once already. BRING IT ON. That is the only way that we are gonna deal with these pieces of crap. Let them keep coming and let other countries get involved. The more this escalates, the easier it will be to get resources where they need to be and the quicker it will be over.

Eating bugs and dirt, letting bugs eat the gangrene from their wounds. Oh, and trying to McGiver a dialysis machine out of an enema bottle and a used oil filter from a burnt out soviet APC.
