An excerpt from "GLSEN Announces Release of New Educational Resources to Aid Educators with Classroom Discussions on Same-Sex Marriage Debate":
As the Nation Awaits the Massachusetts Supreme Court Decision on Same-Sex Marriage, Educators are Presented with an Opportunity to Facilitate Discussions with Students About One of the Most Talked About Civil and Human Rights Issue of Our Time
New York, NY - The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, or GLSEN, today announced the release of At Issue: Marriage, Exploring the Debate Over Marriage Rights for Same-Sex Couples, an educational guide to aid teachers in the hot topic discussion that has been receiving increasing exposure in the national spotlight due to recent high profile cases in our countrys legal system and growing attention from the mainstream media..."
An excerpt from "GLSEN Hails Historic Supreme Court Ruling in Lawrence v. Texas":
"NEW YORK - June 26, 2003 The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, or GLSEN, today hailed the U. S. Supreme Courts decision finding the Texas sodomy law unconstitutional, discriminatory and an unwarranted invasion of privacy. In a concurrent 5-4 decision, the Court overturned the basis for all remaining sodomy laws, and, according to GLSEN, these decisions will bolster efforts to ensure the safety of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) students.
Todays historic ruling affirms the equality of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people before the law and sends a powerful message to LGBT youth," said Executive Director Kevin Jennings. "The majority has affirmed that the state cannot demean [the] existence or control [the] destiny of LGBT people with such discriminatory statutes..."
"By overturning these laws," Jennings added, "the United States Supreme Court has put legislators and school administrators on notice that LGBT students and educators are not second-class citizens and there is no justification for qualified educators being fired or students feeling unsafe in school..."
Institutionalized Heterosexism in Our Schools: A Guide to Understanding and Undoing It
An excerpt from "From Denial to Denigration: Understanding Institutionalized Heterosexism in Our Schools":
"... When describing incidents of discrimination or harassment against LGBT people, then, it may be more precise to use the terms anti-LGBT bias or hate acts. And when discussing the belief, held by so many, that homosexuality is "wrong" or "less than," it may be more accurate to use heterosexism, which can be understood as an overt or tacit bias against non-heterosexuals based on a belief in the superiority or, sometimes, the omnipresence of heterosexuality(2) and the notion that homosexuality is psychologically, spiritually, or morally wrong. Since this type of intolerance is frequently leveled against those perceived to be lesbian or gay due to gender expression that transgresses societal norms, heterosexism can also be understood as the assumption that a dual gender role system based on birth-assigned sex is natural and desirable. Heterosexism--though not a replacement for homophobia--is a broader term that does not imply the loathing the latter term suggests, and which can describe seemingly benign attitudes and behavior based on the belief that heterosexuality and a binary gender structure are the norm.(3)
... Institutionalized heterosexism exists at every level of society--from family roles to federal policy--and works to transmit inflexible cultural norms to a populace that unconsciously integrates them. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) policy, for example, excludes all gay men who have "engaged in any homosexual behavior since 1977" from giving blood(11) and the community instinctively assumes that such guidelines are in our best interest. Religious doctrine instructs followers to "love the sinner, but hate the sin" and flocks of parishioners unquestioningly accept that homosexuality is inherently depraved. Pentagon policy(12) assures us that not asking or telling is the best way to deal with our LGBT service members and the public takes for granted that silence is golden..."
I agree with him. An immediate course of reparative therapy is definitely called for. If we get these poor kids cured now they can live a normal healthy life
At St. John's Preparatory School in Danvers, a Catholic high school, headmaster Albert J. "Skip" Shannon has no openly gay faculty, but would support anyone who comes out.
"I know that we have faculty with different sexual orientation on our campus," he said. "If people find a comfortable and safe environment on our campus, regardless of their sexual orientation, then I think we are doing God's work."
"Skip" needs to be at a minimum excommunicated and at best executed as a child molestor. Why is he setting his charges up to be molested (unless he's been molesting them already?)
The second law of homosexuality:
To the mentally healthy (heterosexual), sex is something you do
To the mentally diseased ('homosexual'), sex is everything you are
Mr Andrews->Students "are here to learn about English."
you->Again correct, Mr. Andrews, so, again, keep your swish to yourself and teach English.
Disagree strongly. Mr Andrews' perversion is not a private matter. The odds are very huge that he will molest given the chance. Since he's already outed himself as being up to 30 times more likely to molest (than a mentally healthy applicant would) why take the risk by hiring him?
The first law of homosexuality:
'Homosexuals' don't reproduce, they recruit
This recruiter must be excluded from any contact with children
You ain't kidding. When I was in school, it was still a big deal to learn a teacher's first name!
'Homosexuals' don't reproduce, they recruit
2. What is he needing and wanting from his students, administration and parents?
from students - sex (see number one)
from administration - protection (if the administration approves of his behavior then he can recruit under cover of admin)
from parents - inattentiveness (if the parents don't pay attention to their chilren, he will)
3. Is he wanting to use his teaching position to encourage students to try homosexuality?
Well D'uh
4. What is this guy teaching? What is his agenda as he teaches?
Homosexual behavior. Any academics he is supposedly teaching is immaterial to his real aim. Recruitment, indoctrination, destruction.
A further proof of the third law of homosexuality:
Any exposure of children to homosexual behavior is child abuse
Indeed. Given that the NEA's Homosexual Caucus and GLSEN work closely together on these issues, I wonder if some portion of GLSEN's funding comes from the NEA. If so, then a part of teachers' union dues would be used to fund this agenda. And that means taxpayer money would be involved since most teacher salaries are paid from public funds.
