This thread serves as a place for posting all new general information and references, along with links following Terri's case, plus information on cable news and talk radio shows dealing with the issue, court cases and press releases. This is also the place to post contact information, prayers and general discussion.

If you have something that qualifies as BREAKING NEWS or FRONT PAGE NEWS, please post it on a separate thread in that category in order to give it maximum exposure and then post a link to the article/thread here so that it will be included in the next update of links. Also, if you post links to articles from original sources and there is also a thread on FR, please link to the FR thread. Many original links become corrupt over time and we want to be able to access the information at will.

There was a tremendous amount of information posted on the previous thread. For anyone who hasn't been following the daily threads, links to relevant posts and information from the previous thread are contained in the body of the present one. I have found that very helpful in trying to find something later. You people are doing a spectacular job of getting information out and also in helping to keep all of us updated here. What a great joint effort. This fight, to me, illustrates beautifully what Free Republic is about and what it means to be a FReeper. Way to go FRiends. Keep up the good work!

Correction: it seems that Bill Schiavo, Sr., died in 2002. Clara died first. The senior Mr. Schiavo also urged his son not to proceed with the starvation/dehydration, but Michael and his brothers were determined to "free" Terri by killing her!!!!

Schaivo said both parents were starved and dehydrated and said he had "absolutely no regrets" about what "had" to be done. Starvation is painless, he believes.

Really good research here. I am almost certain you are the first to find this.
I am interesed in the Death Localities. The first one showing Largo, and then Pinellas then Florida. Bet that is where she died. Is Seminole a city in Florida? If So bet that is where her residence swas befroe she dies.

Say isn't that Suncoast Hospice in Largo? If so I have a very interesting idea. With the date of death now certain July 2, 1997 I bet we could look up the Death Certificate and see the Doctors name on it.

I would assume that it could be any of those psychologists, since they may very well have been in the Tampa/St. Pete area at the time. Sarasota is the closest if the doctor hasn't moved, but there's little way of knowing that for sure. Is there a way to do a search on each of these docs to see if they were once in the Tampa/St.Pete/Clearwater area in the early 1990's? Maybe a professional assoc. would have their resumes on hand?

Yup I looked it up Clara Schiavo died in Largo, per Tutstars Post #847 on July 2, 1997. And Sun Coast Hospice is located in Largo Florida. Does anybody want to bet that Michael had his mom starved to death at the Sun Coast Hospice, the same place he has terri right now?

I have to go look up the time line and see how his mother dying lays in with terri's time line. Anybody else who knows this stuff feel free to jump in.

That's the date of the obituary in the Courier Times (PA). SSDI says he died on 4/15/2002 in Seminole, Pinellas County, FL.

Bob Schinler said Dr. Caplan is a psychiatrist, meaning a medical doctor, so I don't think so. A psychologist is a Ph.D, so I don't think the psychologist's names on that search would be the Dr. Caplan you're looking for. The Joella Caplan info posted earlier was for someone licensed as a mental health counselor. That would be neither an M.D. or a Ph.D, and wouldn't have been referred to by Bob Schindler as "Dr. Caplan".

I don't think there exists a criminal that Jayne Weintraub wouldn't defend. I think her behavior is obnoxious, and has nothing to add to any panel of legal commentators.
