In what is likely to be remembered as a central foreign policy address of his presidency, President Bush yesterday delivered a powerful message emphasizing the importance of democratic reform throughout the Arab and Islamic worlds. In a speech to the National Endowment for Democracy, the president noted that the stakes are particularly high in Iraq, where failure "would embolden terrorists throughout the world." But success in Iraq, he said, "will send forth the news, from Damascus to Tehran

I read the transcript of the President's speech. I wish it had been broadcast live in primetime. Truly momentous words about Freedom and America's duty to uphold it - the whole country should have heard it.
Thanks be to God that there are still a few "true" Americans left.

He sure does, altho the Wilson analogy is not a plus in my eyes. He's not one of my favorite Presidents.

Bush made a very good case that we are right to be involved in the Middle East. Now we have to be heavy handed enough to survive being right, until everyone takes up the yoke and pulls with us. (or is dead).
