GEPHARDT: "The Confederate flag is a hurtful, divisive symbol and in my view, has no place flying anywhere in any state in this country."

GEPHARDT: "I want to be crystal clear to the people of South Carolina where I stand on this issue," Gephardt said, "I think South Carolina should remove the Confederate flag from any official display anywhere in the state."
(The Columbia State, 2003)
GEPHARDT: "I understand the strong feelings South Carolinians on both sides of the issue have and acknowledge the sincere efforts leaders of both political parties have made to reach a compromise," Gephardt's statement said. "But, my own personal feeling is that the Confederate flag no longer has a place flying anytime, anywhere in our great nation."
(The Columbia State, 2003)
This is one of the best descriptions of today's Democrat party I've ever seen.
LOL!! great line!
I don't know why people have such a hard time with history. The Confederate flag has historical significance. There's no reason people, or statehouses, shouldn't be allowed to fly them. As a black female, I could care less if people want to fly a Confederate flag or put one in in their pickup trucks.
As usual, liberals point to symbol over substance. What I am concerned about is how I'm treated as a human. You can be a Confederate flag waving biker and treat me with humanity or you can be a latte-drinking liberal who thinks I can't get into college or get a job unless I get bonus points for skin color. Guess which one I'd rather deal with?
Every day, liberals give me more reasons to hate them for the racists that they are.
