Politicized Memo Creates Row
Washington Post ^ | November 6, 2003 | Dana Priest
The FACT that certain unknown Democrats are focusing more on taking down the president than intelligence, while we are at war and 2 years after suffering the worst attack on this country's soil, is unacceptable and as Zell Miller said, borders on treason.

It is vital that the National Republican Senatorial Committee NOT give the Democrats a pass on their planned use of the power and resources of the Senate Intelligence Committee as a political tool against our President...

They got in such a twist over the Rumsfield memo the Dems were calling for him to resign.
Now this...  comes out and boy, o boy, the 'rats are running for cover like roaches when the lights are turned on.

Democrats can not be trusted with national security. This is the proof.

"How's y'all's US Senate race (GOP primary)shaping up? Any particular candidate you're partial toward?"

I'm very partial to businessman Herman Cain, but it's looking like the local GOP is going to through their money behind either Issakson or my current represenative Mac Collins.

Now I'm certain I like you. Herman Cain is my choice too. I wish I lived in GA. I'd be working my tail off for him.

Appreciate the link- I encourage everyone to phone ( repeat: Use the Telephone! ) their "critters" in DC and demand some action on this outrage. Call talk radio. Write letters to your hometown papers.

We have all had enough of this partisan garbage.

a Georgia boy...

Indeed, but since I grew up on an island, I've been doomed to be neither a City Boy or a Country Boy, but something inbetwixt.

In any event, kind words are appreciated and welcomed with as much grace as I can muster.

Thanks for the links. It was so frustrating yesterday - I tried to write Roberts and his email link did not work. I finally got through but have doubts it actually went.

Taxpayer funds are not to be used to provide a witch hunt tool for the democrat party to use to destroy an elected president when he is fighting a war.

I expect NO CLASSIFIED DOCUMENTS TO BE PROVIDED TO THIS COMMITTEE UNTIL THIS COMMITTEE ABUSER IS REMOVED. If the democrats are so power-crazed that they will sabotage a sitting president while he is fighting terrorists to protect this nation, they will leak, sell, take bribes - anything for power.

We cannot afford to trust a democrat with top-secret information due to their exposed activities.

Thanks for those pings... I think this will be an interesting trial of the New Media, and just how effective it really is.

We all know the standard Establishment Media's treatment is "just never mention this again"-- or claim "hey, we already covered that- let's Move On..."

So we shall see if the alliance between sites like FR, the blogs, and talk radio can call this to the attention of enough citizens and voters to make a difference.

JMO, I think it will.

Me, too- he's a good man. We need more like him.

I deeply dislike the Georgia Republican leadership for just the reason you mentioned- they favor people who may indeed be decent folks, but they are tired old retreads from days past.

We need new ideas and fresh blood.
