Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor aborts the U.S. Constitution; impeachable offense? In an unprecedented show of arrogance against America and the United States Constitution, Justice Sandra Day O'Connor said in a speech that she and her colleagues on the Supreme Court are going to increasingly rely on international law rather than looking to the U.S. Constitution , Justice Sandra Day O'Connor said in a speech that she and her colleagues on the Supreme Court are going to increasingly rely on international law rather than looking to the U.S. Constitution as they make their decisions. Disregarding her oath of office that she will uphold the U.S. Constitution seems to be an impeachable offense. In the infamous "Lawrence v. Texas" sodomy case this year, Mrs. O'Connor said the majority on the court used European legal precedent in making their rogue decision. And worse yet, she said that "Over time, we will rely increasingly on international and foreign courts in examining domestic issues." The Christian Coalition of America calls on Congress to begin reining in these arrogant renegade judges, and dealing with Justice O'Connor would be a good place to begin.

I think they should do it as quickly as possible.

"Who has the power to dissolve the Supreme Court? I think they should do it as quickly as possible."We, the People, do. If, enough of us complain to our reps. they will have to listen, and have to take action. We are only one, until we organize as we are here. We are then one large team.

"she arrogantly stated that she and her colleagues were going to increasingly depend on international laws and foreign courts to interpret domestic issues instead of the U.S. Constitution in which she is obligated to uphold." Why is a Judge trying to "interpret "issues?"
That is not the job of a judge.

Dear (name):
The recent comments of Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor have appalled me - specifically, the occasion on which she stated that she and her colleagues will increasingly depend on international laws and foreign courts to interpret domestic issues instead of the U.S. Constitution (which she is obligated to uphold).
Anyone holding a federally elected or appointed position must uphold the Constitution of the United States. Anyone who would purposely undermine the Constitution is manifesting an attitude toward our country that can only be called treasonous.
Please investigate Mrs. O'Connor's violation of her oath of office, and her court decisions and the decisions of her colleagues.
We Americans will not stand by and see our judges surrender our nation's sovereignty.

Writing, and puncuation has never been a strong point of mine. Your letter, without a doubt, clarifies the point we are trying to make. Thanks, Again.
I also, need to tell you I visited your profile page, and it is very remarkable. You are a very remarkable, Lady.
I have to say, it. I hope you don't take it wrong, but you are also a, "Babe". Very much, so, and you could pass for a Zena stand-in.

I agree. Sandra needs to be impeached since she has broken and intends to break her oath of office.

This is more than Sandra Dey(?sp)O'Connor. The five who based their decision in the Lawrence vs. Texas case on European Law should also be impeached! The "European 6" should be impeached and removed for violating their oath of office.

I am not a lawyer nor am I versed that much on the constitution, ... No offense and nothing personal but I see so many people on the defensive about how they read the U.S. Constitution. Our Constitution was written to be understood by anyone with a modicum of common sense.
It is distressing that Americans have been conditioned to preface a reading of the U.S. Constitution with "I am not a lawyer but...", thereby self-marginalizing their importance as a citizen.
Lawyers are very well justified in limiting the interpretation of court procedures and rules to themselves and the courts in which they are licensed, but to limit the sense of the U.S. Constitution to an elite is to subjugate the People to elite interpretations.

Well said and accurately stated. Now would you like to contact your Congress critter and officially determine his/her position on the "European 6"? I really want to get this process moving via grass roots, It is the people that will bring this oligarchy back to for the people, by the people and of the people!

I have let Jim McDermott (my district rep), and Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell (my U.S. Senators) know my views. They have a way of putting me in an extreme category because the questions I raise can be described as right wing such as "Do you support the War on Terror?".
Just asking the question puts me on the black list.
By the way the response was UN this and UN that, ergo we should never have gone into Iraq without the approval of such notaries as Schroeder, Chirac and Vallepin.

Hostage,
Could you get them, McDermotts people, to make a definitive statement as to whether they will push the judiciary committee to impeach the "European 6". I am pretty sure of the answer is but I want each Representative on the record. Get a letter mailed to you if you can.

Sure, but do me a favor. Draft a letter for me that includes the questions, statements and evidence as well as the legal basis for impeachment. If the legal basis is weak, we can modify the questions to put them on record for their views on the judiciary.
I know this is an important matter but I go on record with a letter as well, so it's important I get it right.
