A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.
The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?
The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.
Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.
DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.
Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

Only Allah ( His name be praise - ed ! ) knoweth when the tiny hairs on my chin will turn to a real beard; but, in the meantime, I must do my humble part , and pretend it is jihad.LOL! Everyone's getting all excited about some muslime geek ranting on his yahoo website. I could find more dire threats posted on du.com. Note that at the bottom of the NEIN page there's a plea for donations because of website costs (they could get a better deal at 8-95.com!).

2 observations: "we will remove the darkness from your night", (repeated twice), and the reference to 3 a.m. tells me that if anything happens, it will be at night. As for "We will kill you with no mercy
We will turn your life into sadness "
Well, that's just non-sensical. How can someone's life be turned to sadness if you've killed them in the previous sentence?
I don't read it that way. It reads more as a chronology of a day - someone gets up at 3 am, begins their preparations, makes a final committment, and then plods on to complete their task.
Turning darkness into night could be a reference to an explosion.
The last phrase, killing with no mercy and turning life into sadness don't seem to be directed to an individual but to "you" in general, meaning Americans. I would read it as a threat to kill Americans and to turn American's lives into sadness. Sounds very much like what happened on 9/11.
Course (hopefully!) the entire thing is probably someone's poor attempt at epic poetry, maybe revisiting previous attacks.

Thanks for the update on the fruit vendor NJ.
I've been out in the woods tracking deer. Heard about the Saudi attacks this morning.
I see the stream of threats has not subsided. I'm praying it's just a bunch of hot air, but I'll stay on alert for now.

From: daleel_almojahid <daleel_almojahid@y...> Date: Mon Nov 10, 2003 4:08am Subject: Taliban Mujahideen warn US to quit Afghanistan alaah akbaar

The Taliban issued a new warning Monday to US lead invaders and the Afghan Munafiq's who support them.
Leaflets containing the message were distributed near the southern Afghan border town of Spin Boldak and Pakistan's southern town of Chaman Monday, witnesses said.
"We advise US forces to leave Afghanistan immediately as the Afghan people cannot be purchased with dollars."
"We again warn these people, cease supporting America or your lives will remain in danger, and the Taliban Mujahideen would kill each one of you alongside the Americans."
The leaflet was signed by several officials of the Taliban Mujahideen: Mullah Akthar Mohammad Usmani, a deputy of Mullah Omar, and Taliban commander for southern Afghanistan Mullah Abdur Rahim, Mullah Bradar, Mulla Abdur Rauf and Hafiz Adur Rahim.
Previous such leaflets have urged Afghans, the army and the police to join the Taliban in a struggle against the government of President Hamid Karzai and U.S.-led forces.
"We will inflict a humiliating defeat that will be recorded in history."
"We are determined that the Afghan masses will never accept foreign law and oppression and the US rule will remain only on paper," the pamphlet written in the local Pashto language said.

(Reuters) - A U.S. official said on Monday the al Qaeda network was trying to topple the pro-Western Saudi government and royal family, but Riyadh vowed militants would not destabilize the world biggest oil exporter. "It is quite clear to me that al Qaeda wants to take down the royal family and the government of Saudi Arabia," U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage told Al Arabiya television, excerpts of which were broadcast on Monday

A new message was posted Monday by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of threatened major al Qaeda attacks in those cities.
The warning was reported by www.debka.com, a respected "Internet publication devoted to independent, investigative reporting and forward analysis in the fields of international terrorism, intelligence, international conflict, Islam, military affairs, security and politics."
A similar message also appeared Monday on a Yahoo! Group bulletin board (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Daleel_Al-Mojahid_/message/18). Apparently posted by Daleel Almojahid, it read "This is the last call for Muslims in New York, the east side and Los Angeles to start leaving. The mojahideen (sic) are now ready to teach the US a lesson it will never forget."
A similar message was received by this reporter when under the guise of being a Molsem sympathetic to the cause he wrote to Almojahid that he wanted to help. "I have funds to buy what you need to kill the kaffir. I need bank account, wiring instructions and location..."
The response received from Almojahid by this reporter read , "We are more than thankful for the sweet words you wrote, but we have everything ready and set thank you so much and please make your plans to move out if you are in the cities of LA, NY or the east side. Go north as much as possible as you know this is a war. May God protect you and protect all our brothers and sisters."
Almojahid posted a subsequent message on his Yahoo! Group account. Headlined "You have to understand this is a war your government had started," it read in part:
"I know that a lot of innocent people and Muslims are within these cities but you have to understand that this is a war your government had started. They have killed more than 2,000,000 Muslims in the past 12 years alone, 500,000 kids died in Iraq since 1990! What would you do if 2,000,000 Americans died from Muslims who are just attacking for money and oil and more wealth to their country! A lot of people asked me how much more time is there. I can only tell you get out as soon as you can. This is a war."
Debka File reported that the al-Qaeda linked al-Islah group (with whom Almojahid may or may not be connected) accused the United States of sealing its own fate with its policies. It read in part, "The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows."
According to the Debka File, the message was signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by "your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami".
According to Debka, the name of the signatory belonged to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens' place of origin where Osama bin Laden is widely supported.
Debka reported that the publication's counter-terror sources emphasize these warnings are taken seriously but with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network's electronic traffic.

The Carnival ice cream store is shown in the Brooklyn Borough of New York, Thursday, Nov. 6, 2003. On Jan. 18, FBI arrested Abad Elfgeeh, a Yemini proprietor who lived three floors above the shop, after agents were tipped off that a suspiciously large amount of money, $20 million, passed through his tiny business' bank accounts between 1997 and early 2003. Last month, Elfgeeh pleaded guilty in a proceeding that escaped notice, perhaps because the illegal money-transferring charge never mentioned terrorism. (AP Photo/Mary Altaffer)
AP: NYC Terror Raid Busts Ice Cream Shop
Sun Nov 9,11:31 PM ET Add U.S. National - AP to My Yahoo!
By TOM HAYS, Associated Press Writer
NEW YORK - At dawn, armed FBI agents assigned to an anti-terrorism unit converged on an unlikely front in the war on terrorism: a tiny ice cream shop in Brooklyn.
The agents arrested the Yemeni proprietor, a naturalized U.S. citizen, who lived three floors above. Based on a tip, they said, they had learned that $20 million had passed through the bank accounts of his business from 1997 until the raid in January.
The proprietor, Abad Elfgeeh, pleaded guilty last month in a proceeding that escaped notice, perhaps because the illegal money-transfer charge against him never mentioned terrorism.
But a review of court files by The Associated Press revealed that prosecutors believe Elfgeeh was an associate of Sheik Mohammed Hasa Al-Moayad, a prominent Yemeni cleric charged with funneling millions to al-Qaida in the years before the Sept. 11 attacks.
Elfgeeh has denied any connection. Al-Moayad is being held in Germany, where he is fighting extradition to the United States.
The allegations of an illicit connection between the two men stem from the federal government's crackdown on informal money transfer networks known as "hawalas."
Muslim immigrants have used the networks which rely on wire transfers, couriers and overnight mail to send cash to their families overseas.
But since the Sept. 11 attacks, authorities have worked to dismantle the system, fearing it allows terrorists to raise and launder money. Osama bin Laden (news - web sites) has boasted that hawalas created cracks in the Western financial system that "were as familiar to him and his al-Quaida colleagues as the lines of their own hands," a recent congressional report warned.
Offices of companies providing hawala services have been shuttered in cities around the United States. In Brooklyn alone, more than a dozen Arab or Muslim men have been charged with transferring money without a license. One, an American of Egyptian descent, was convicted in July of trying to smuggle $659,000 in boxes of Ritz crackers, Quaker Oats and baby wipes stuffed in a suitcase on a flight to Egypt.
Defense lawyers call the crackdown overkill and say prosecutors have unfairly linked their clients to extremist causes and subjected them to interrogations and severe jail conditions without actually charging them with terrorism.
Some of the defendants were naturalized U.S. citizens with clean records. Most were guilty only of trying to send money home to loved ones, said Peter Mollo, an attorney for Mohamed Ali Alriany, a Brooklyn man who pleaded guilty in a case in which investigators say he made millions of dollars in unreported transfers to Yemen through his gift shop.
"They're looking for a bigger fish," Mollo said. "There is no bigger fish."
On the surface, Elfgeeh seems an unlikely threat to national security. He arrived in the United States 30 years ago with an eighth grade education and became a citizen five years later. He was in the ice cream business for 20 years and had no previous arrests.
In his plea after the Jan. 18 raid on his ice cream shop, Elfgeeh, 48, said he began informally transferring money for family and friends for a fee in 1995. He said he "intended to get a license, but never got around to it."
Testifying about the morning of his arrest, Elfgeeh told a judge that he was asleep with his pregnant wife when the armed federal agents pounded on his door. The agents, who had a material witness warrant, intimidated him into consenting to a search, he said.
"I was terrified, very scared," he said. "Of course, we are hearing a lot since Sept. 11 about what happened to Arabic men, what happened to Muslims who look like me."
But authorities said documents seized in his shop revealed a pattern of deception.
Tax records showed the shop had average annual revenue of about $185,000, but court papers said that from November 2001 to November 2002 alone, Elfgeeh's bank accounts had deposits of more than $5.3 million money later transferred to banks in Yemen and elsewhere.
Investigators say they connected Elfgeeh to the Yemeni cleric, Al-Moayad, following a sting operation in Germany in which Al-Moayad told an FBI informant that he supplied $20 million, recruits and weapons to Osama bin Laden.
Al-Moayad allegedly named four men in New York including Elfgeeh he claimed had secretly transferred funds to him in Yemen. He also "said he received money for 'jihad' that was collected from the Al Farouq mosque in Brooklyn," court papers said.
Past investigations identified the mosque as a place of worship for terrorists, including the men who bombed the World Trade Center in 1993. Mosque leaders have dismissed any current connection.
During a sealed proceeding in July, Elfgeeh testified he had heard of Al-Moayad, but added: "I do not personally know him."
He is now awaiting sentencing on the illegal money-transfer charge and could face up to 10 years in prison.

This guy, Daleel_Al-Mojahid, is starting to lose credibility, as far as I am concerned. There seem to be just too many messages. I bet he doesn't know any more than anyone else, he is just repeating the original AQ warning, which was first mentioned by Debka, than other news sources picked it up.
That was probably genuine, but this Daleel guy is probably just trying to get his 15 minutes of fame.
That's my impression. Any thoughts?
