Howard Dean's wife Judith Steinberg accompanies Dean and their son Paul to a courtroom hearing last month. This was a rare public appearance by the former first lady of Vermont. Shown at right is a publicity photo released by the Dean Campaign.

Why are they in court? I would guess his sons involvement in a burglary at the Burlington Country Club.

Someone you obviously don't know.
Thank God.
It is the type of fun that costs real conservatives elections. With friends like you ...
Good grief, go take a chill pill.

I guarantee you that if Dean wins the nomination, next year one of these 'bash his wife' threads will be quoted/linked to in a national column to either discredit Free Republic, or more likely, show how 'nasty', 'mean-spirited', and 'out of touch' the 'Bush right-wingers' are. Why give them fodder to make us look bad, waste time, divert the issues?
Hey Diddle, chill out for cryin out loud! No party is more mean spirited than the democRATS. I'm sick of political correctness gone amok. Lighten up a bit. It'll do wonders for your sense of humor. And in the future if certain threads offend you, move on to something that doesn't and quit with the lecturing. Different strokes for different folks.

Maybe it's because I'm getting older, but she looks pretty good to me.

"Why should her looks matter. I'd love to see the pictures of the Freepers who are attacking her looks"
...I don't throw stones at people about their looks. Click my screen name and you will see why.
...It's the reason that my mug is between those two beauties on my lap.

Mrs. Dean probably has more brains in her little finger than the combined brains of most of the smug knuckle- draggers who are trashing her.

Thanks for responding to all of those obnoxious posts.
I wonder how many of those 'beautiful' people posting this crap would be considered even remotely attractive themselves. Oh wait, I've seen Freeper pictures!
Stick to the politics people. You won't look nearly as immature.

The answers to this following question were so Freeping creatively brilliant, we should take another look at this nagging question:
Why are Dean's wife's appearances so rare?
VOTE FOR BEST ANSWER
CREATE YOUR OWN
- Because she usually only comes out on Groundhog's Day ;-)
- Because they are not well done?
- If you were married to Dean would you show your face in public?
- because few people have appearances like hers.
- (My favorite) I like the understated rhetorical style of your humor. :-)
- He doesn't want to frighten the voters. Right now, he can use Halloween as political cover.

I'd pick the hot one too.
It's the same reason they try to get good looking people behind them onstage.

C'mon people, be nice. It's not her fault she married a loser.

Perhaps, but the fault is in Dr. Dean, not in his wife.
To: GnuHere
dean himself is the one with family money...upper east side and hamptons upbringing. he went to the best schools money can buy.
funny, how dean tries the "i'm just one of the boys, see my shirtsleeves are rolled up" approach.

I was on the verge of doing a little flaming, myself, but if what you say about her being a Doctor who champions late term abortions is true, all I can say is that she's lucky to be a doctor, otherwise she would have to buy her ugly pills from a street pusher.
