I guarantee you that if Dean wins the nomination, next year one of these 'bash his wife' threads will be quoted/linked to in a national column to either discredit Free Republic, or more likely, show how 'nasty', 'mean-spirited', and 'out of touch' the 'Bush right-wingers' are. Why give them fodder to make us look bad, waste time, divert the issues?

Hey Diddle, chill out for cryin out loud! No party is more mean spirited than the democRATS. I'm sick of political correctness gone amok. Lighten up a bit. It'll do wonders for your sense of humor. And in the future if certain threads offend you, move on to something that doesn't and quit with the lecturing. Different strokes for different folks.
