Celebrations Erupt Across Arab World after US Chopper Crash

Cairo, Egypt-AP -- There are celebrations reported across the Arab world, after the news of more American casualties in Iraq.

Resistance to the occupation is applauded by some who see it as proof that Iraqis weren't totally humiliated by the relative ease of the U-S-led coalition's toppling of Saddam Hussein.

Many Arabs had warned an invasion of Iraq could drag the region into chaos. In Damascus today, foreign ministers from countries bordering Iraq again called on the U-S to restore order in that country.

"simply showing up for a White House dinner with the leader of TheGreatSatan is making a point as well. This isn't just about Dubyuh reaching out to the Muslim-American community for Ramadan, the reverse is true also"

I am aware from reading, history and news, how much ingrained and "meritorious" is the practise of deception, of a false front to the infidel, among the muslims who make victimology, terror and suicidal-murder an article of faith. And that those princes of deception and death are the leaders among the modern Muslim community around the world today.

Based on that, I believe, I suspect, I fear, that your reasoning in support of Mr. Bush entertaining in any proximity these princes and leaders of a religion currently dark and bloody red in so many of its precincts, with few observed vigorous cleansing efforts towards real peace -- that is standing up to the violent and suicidal forces, that the reasons you gave lack any measurable current validity, and that the opposite of that bonhommie we'd all wish -- that is a strenghtening of malevolence -- is the greater direct effect of such misplaced friendliness.

Yep that guy...it just irks my guts that he and several dozen others are all thinking, and maybe saying among themselves, "This is just what we needed!"

Can you imagine the propaganda that is popping up all over this place over this????????

Hey, they celebrated after 9-11 too. It's pitiful the manner in which America's enemies gloat and take pleasure at death. But so it goes with the death cult and their sockpuppets. Sick stuff.

With this line of reasoning, acrimony between the religions is a foregone conclusion and will prove to be a permanent reality. In contrast, I can't help but believe that much of the hatred that exists today is the result of a lack of communication between the disparate sides, as the only contact one side has with the other is when they are at war. This is far too common in the Israeli-Palestinian imbroglio and cannot be allowed to occur in America if we are ever to hope to achieve a lasting peace.

This is not to say that we should continue to reach out to Muslim leaders who claim to be peace-loving to our face while promoting religious animosity to their followers when they return to their mosques. That's one of the big reasons Arafat's become a persona non grata after years of unjustified legitimacy. The same should be true of the leaders Dubyuh recently met with...be gracious to those who sincerely want to work together to find a lasting peace, but scorn and denounce those who go back and preach Jihad to their followers.

"...your reasoning in support of Mr. Bush entertaining in any proximity these princes and leaders of a religion currently dark and bloody red...lack any measurable current validity, and that the opposite of that bonhommie we'd all wish -- that is a strenghtening of malevolence -- is the greater direct effect of such misplaced friendliness."

I hope and pray that you are misplaced in your well-reasoned dubiousness, because if you are right--and the forces of Evil within Islam dominate and overwhelm the forces of Good--another World War would seem to be an unavoidable inevitability.

I think they should arrest or bomb those murder-celebrating thugs like the ones who were surrounding our convoys or the helicopter and cheering. They should be fair targets. That will really send a message and take out a large part of the problem. It's obvious those crowds are part of this terrorism.

MASTERS OF DECEPTION
Deceptive Iraqi Tactics Of War Are Based On Islamic Principles
By Abdullah Al Araby
(Excepted parts of an article found in Islam Review)

Unlike most religions, within Islam there are certain provisions under which lying and deceiving is not simply tolerated, but actually encouraged. In his book “The spirit of Islam,” Afif A. Tabbarah writes in page 247, “Lying is not always bad, to be sure; there are times when telling a lie is more profitable and better for the general welfare, and for the settlement of conciliation among people, than telling the truth. “

This point is proven by numerous incidences in the life of Mohammed. He often lied and instructed his followers to do the same. He rationalized that the prospect of success in missions to extend Islam’s influence overrode Allah’s initial prohibitions against lying. A good example of sanctioned lying is the account of the assassinations of Kaab Ibn al-Ashrf, and Shaaban Ibn Khalid al-Hazly. Mohammed reportedly allowed his assassins lie to them in order to lure them into a place where they could easily butcher them.

The principle of Al-Takeyya

The Arabic word, “Takeyya”, means, “to guard against.” The principle of Al Takeyya conveys the understanding that Muslims are permitted to lie as a preventive measure against anticipated harm to one’s self or fellow Muslims. They can even deny the faith, if they do not mean it in their hearts. Al-Takeyya is based on the following Quranic verse:

“Let not the believers Take for friends or helpers Unbelievers rather than believers: if any do that, in nothing will there be help from Allah: except by way of precaution, that ye may Guard yourselves from them. But Allah cautions you (To remember) Himself; for the final goal is to Allah.” Surah 3: 28

According to this verse it is acceptable for Muslims to use deceptive tactics. In violation to the teachings of Islam, they can pretend to befriend infidels. In situations where real or imagined harm is perceived they are permitted to display adherence with the ideals of those considered as infidels.

It is important to understand that Muslims take great liberty in expanding the perimeters of circumstances under which they are permitted to lie and to use deceptive tactics. When dealing with Muslim leaders it is essential to keep in mind that they can say or do anything that will get them out of trouble. All the while, they are apt to have just the opposite agenda in their hearts. With this in mind, in matters pertaining to war and international politics, there is a question that we need to ask ourselves. Can Muslim countries be trusted to play it fair and keep their end of the agreements that they sign with non-Muslim nations?

It is imperative that our leaders not be naïve. They must understand that Muslims can use this loophole in their religion to absolve them from any accountability when they revert to deceptive tactics. They can unashamedly do so, as they adhere to Mohammed, the prophet of Islam, who was quoted as saying “War is a deception.” The Allah of Islam is described in the Quran as “the best of deceivers.” Surah 8:30.

"There are celebrations reported across the Arab world, after the news of more American casualties in Iraq.

Probably in Paris and Berlin, as well."

Berlin being the site of the largest 9/11 memorial gathering in the world (including the US)...

How quickly we forget.

And Bush squandered all that sympathy. Big time.

And Bush squandered all that sympathy. Big time.

If you were trolling for a comment on that statement, you certainly have landed one.

If you would use your brain for once, you would realize that Bush is president of a nation containing many different religions. He cannot frame this war on terror in a religious context.

This is precisely what our enemies (The Islamist Radicals) are doing. If we fall into that trap, we will have a billion enemies instead of a few thousand.

We will have total chaos in world affairs and would be hated even by our friends for causing it.

Sure man! Blame Bush!

The sorting bin built to hold all the "Islamic Radicals" and followers would, unfortunately dwarf that small bin built to hold the "non-radicals". Dwarf like a City Staiudm dwarfes a bus-stop shed.

Nothing but low life vermin barbaric animals. They may look like they are celebrating, but actually they are scratching and itching from the fleas and other assorted parasites that infect their bodies and weak brains. I wish President Bush would send a big loud missile up their flea infested asses.

Here is an account, 1st hand, from a FReepers husband regarding the media.
As you recall FOX does have journalists in Iraq.
BUT like the other alphabet networks they refuse to cover ALL the facts.

Thank you all for the welcome home, I was two hours from getting on the plane when i received a call about our aircraft being shot down, please pray for the families of all the brave americans who lost their lives. I am glad to be home and also anxious in a way to get back and finish what we are doing there, it is a good cause and we must prevail. We will continue to send soldiers home, our unit alone will send 35 home this month and almost 40 in dec. Pay no attention to the media, they have been no where around when good things happen. They cower in hotels until an american gets killed and then scurry out into the light like cockroaches. Screw Them!!!

Slim, I don't think I've ever seen a post by you before, but you nailed it dead on with this one. I've known hundreds, if not thousands, of Muslims, mostly Sunni, and mostly Turks. They are good people, in general. As good as Americans. Like us, they have their slimeballs, too, unfortunately. I'm afraid I'm still waiting for the great outcry, myself... but I do expect, someday, to hear it. I don't think the Turks have anything like FR, and how else would taxi drivers and furniture salesmen and jewelers and waiters have any sort of voice we COULD hear? The internet is probably more important to freedom than the printing press was.
