International ANSWER, which co-organized last Saturday's Washington protest, now openly admits that it wants "the Iraqi anti-colonial resistance" -- which, as Michael Totten points out, apparently consists of "three primary groups[:] Saddams Baathist remnants, local theocratic Islamists, and foreign foot soldiers for Al Qaeda" -- to win:
The anti-war movement here and around the world must give its unconditional support to the Iraqi anti-colonial resistance.
Yup, that's right. They fully admit it: They want people to give unconditional support to our nation's enemies, and a particularly evil set of enemies at that. (What do you think will blossom in Iraq if "the Iraqi anti-colonial resistance" will win? Democracy? Religious freedom? Women's equality? Gay rights? Free speech? "Civil rights & civil liberties," which the International ANSWER Web site urges people to defend?)
Really, as others (notably Glenn Reynolds) have said, they're not anti-war, they're just for the other side. That's not hyperbole or guesswork; that's the literal, admitted truth. By their own admission, they are our nation's enemies, in a time when our soldiers are being killed. Remember that when you next hear about a supposed "anti-war rally"; remember who is using the protesters as dupes, and what the rally organizers' true goals are.
Shouldn't that be, 'Leading 'peace movment' group admits that it IS the enemy?'
ANSWER stands for Act Now to Stop War & End Racism. It should be noted that this group has been formed by members of the Workers World Party (WWP), which is an offshoot of the Socialist Workers Party. The WWP formed to support the Soviet invasion of Hungary in 1956. To quote from the LA Weekly, an article there has some interesting comments on the WWP, as follows: -- The party advocates socialist revolution and abolishing private property. It is a fan of Fidel Castros regime in Cuba, and it hails North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Il for preserving his countrys socialist system, which, according to the partys newspaper, has kept North Korea from falling under the sway of the transnational banks and corporations that dictate to most of the world. The WWP has campaigned against the war-crimes trial of former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic. A recent Workers World editorial declared, Iraq has done absolutely nothing wrong.
From that same article, regarding ANSWER, it stated: -- Several key ANSWER officials including spokesperson Brian Becker are WWP members. Many local offices for ANSWERs protest were housed in WWP offices. Earlier this year, when ANSWER conducted a press briefing, at least five of the 13 speakers were WWP activists.
A link the above article discussing the relationship between the WWP and ANSWER is here: http://www.laweekly.com/ink/02/50/news-corn.php
David Horowitz, the conservative former leader of the 1960s New Left movement, has also described ANSWER as a communist front group. In an article with FrontPageMagazine.com on January 20th, 2003 he stated: "America's enemies within turned out in force on Saturday in Washington DC and San Francisco under the auspicies of the Communist Workers World Party operating under its front organization, A.N.S.W.E.R."
Somebody get the rope.
One Wonders if the "Good Guys" allow these "Answer" fools to continue to exist just to Prove we are "open-Minded!"
The membership of "Answer" HAS TO BE shrinking--as more & more of us come to understand the "True Nature" of it's agenda.
America has seen & REJECTED the phoney "agenda" of "Answer & it's Ilk" DECADES ago!
Americans are Particularly "Pissed-Off" when an organization tries to disguise it's true nature.
"Answer"--& Whatever it call's itself to hide--is a VEHEMENT "Bust" in America!
