REM 's Michael Stipe on Leno
NBC

Did anyone catch REM on Leno last night? I just caught the part where the band sat down to be interviewed. Stipe, looked like the grisly, bald goon in the original "Chainsaw Massacre" move. He had sloppy, blue/black markings around his head and eyes, and wore pants with some spray-painted numbers down the leg. "Aren't you going to ask me about my pants?" Stipe asks Leno. "I was going to ask about the blue stuff on your head" Leno replies. "This is the number of people 'misrepresented' in the last Presidential Election!" Stipe kept taking digs at Bill O'Reilly all the time and kept mentioning his pal, Al Franken, and how he was called out to at his NYC concert. (Sort of like the Springsteen bump Franken got.) I had to turn it off at this point. Really, if this is the best the Left has, it's hilarious. Stipe seems only a couple of notches of sanity above Michael Jackson.

Apparently, it's the end of the world, as he knows it...and I feel fine! It's apparently also the end of the world for a bunch of my lib co-workers, and I feel fine too! On monday one of them was complaining he's so worried about the state of the world he's just not sleeping well anymore. (I said welcome to my life between 1992 and 2000)

I noticed that he was on, but I had long since muted the sound system in pursuit of other interests. Bear in mind that almost no one is watching by the time Jay's musical guests are on.

The only picture I have seen of him smiling was from years ago when he had hair. I think he's really mad he went bald.

By recording "Shiney Happy People", Stipe forfeited his right to criticize anybody else's job performance.

Apparently, those late nights in San Friscisco bath houses are taking a terrible toll on him.
BTW, do ya think Stipe's auditioning for a starring role in the 'Outer Limits'?? He's got the look down pat.

I thought those numbers were the amount of chads found on the floor of Suzanne Gunsberger's office. If not, then those numbers must be for the Texas PR firm Jerry Wexler used to call/scare seasoned citizens into thinking they actually voted for Pat Buchannan.
Message to stipe: stick to your declining music career and let us have the country for 4 more years, please. Then in 2008, when hitlery runs, and enough illegals gain voting privliges, you can live out Amerika's last years as a 2-for-1 personal Sodom and Gomorra/"Rome is Burning"--style fairyland.
