President Bush's Message to the Grassroots: "I Need You"
Bush Team Leaders ^ | 10/28/03 | President George W. Bush

Posted on 10/28/2003 1:09:13 PM PST by Marcus Alonzo Hanna

Dear Republican,

Over the last few months, Laura and I have traveled the country and have been humbled by the enthusiastic support we have been given.

Our country has faced many challenges in the last two and half years and we are meeting these challenges at home and abroad. We're defeating the enemies of freedom. And at the same time, we're confronting challenges to build prosperity for our nation and a more compassionate society.

Every test has revealed the true character of America. And no one in the world can doubt the spirit and will and strength of the American people.

We are meeting the challenges of our time but there is much more to be done and I need your support. Will you join me in these efforts by volunteering for my re-election campaign as a Bush Team Leader?

http://www.GeorgeWBush.com/SignUp/

As a Bush Team Leader you will be asked to help by volunteering at local events, hosting your own events, registering new voters, turning out voters on Election Day and more. Most importantly, you will be asked to recruit more Bush Team Leaders to help us win in November 2004. Please sign up to be a part of this important effort today.

http://www.GeorgeWBush.com/SignUp/

The challenges we face cannot be met with timid actions or bitter words. They will be overcome with optimism and resolve and confidence in the ideals of America.

We are acting to advance human freedom and liberty and making the world and America more secure. We took action to create jobs and get the economy growing again.

We acted on principle. You did not send me to this office to mark time. You sent me here to restore dignity and honor to the White House and to help build a safe and prosperous and caring nation. Will you join me in this effort by becoming a Bush Team Leader and volunteer your time?

http://www.GeorgeWBush.com/SignUp/

I want to thank you for the work that you will do in the months to come. There is no question in my mind that with your help we are laying the foundation to win a great victory in November of 2004.

Sincerely,

George W. Bush

P.S. Again, thank you for making my campaign strong at the grassroots level all across the country. I am grateful to the over 300,000 Americans that have contributed to my campaign and the millions more who've signed up on the campaign email list. And I am grateful to everyone that chooses to volunteer in support of this effort. I need you to make certain your friends and family register to vote. I need you to make phone calls, send emails, help organize rallies, put up signs, and get out the vote. I need you to volunteer in my campaign today.

Xenalyte's message to President Bush: block Vicente Fox's phone number, do something - ANYTHING - about the borders, and we'll talk.

It doesn't matter Bushbot. I care about my rights. Our "conservative" "2nd amendment supporting" GOP should live up to their own platform. The President's promise to sign a renewal might be strategy on his part. Fine. I'm pretty sure with a GOP controlled House and Senate no renewal will reach his desk.

IF it does though, and IF he signs it, he won't get my vote. I'll vote third-party.

"I will agree that the borders have never been really secure but the invasion that has been going on for the last 20 years have changed the demographics of many states."

Stick to one topic, changing demographics are not a danger to anyone.

The past twenty years or so, starting with the Reagan revolution has been the greatest period of economic strenght this nation has ever seen, we stand as the lone world superpower. And this "invasion" of dishwashers and room maids was going on all along.

Try doing some research into the declining birth rates and the nose dive the worker to retiree ratio is currently doing as baby boomers retire in incredible numbers, there is no one to replace them in the work force.

Here's a concept that will boggle your mind...we could bring in the entire working age population of Mexico by the year 2050, and they will not be sufficient to maintain the current worker to retiree ratio needed to maintain Social Security checks flowing.

By the way, horse buggy manufacturers were displaced by the auto industry, and the nation survived.

Now, we're having to punish the American consummer and forcing him to pay inflated prices on imprted japanese cars because Detroit can no longer compete. Why?

Higher wages and tens of thousands collecting millions and millions in retirement benefits while Toyota USA has less than twenty people colecting retirement.

Do you know who Viagra's biggest customer is?

Chrysler.

There is no cost of immigration that's negative, you are buying into a bill of goods lock, stock, and sinker.

This contry's potential is limitless, don't understimate it.

Illegal immigration is wrong, but the hysteria about immigration bringing the country down is as old as this country itself.

Would you please give source for your data? Here are a few for you:

"We are told that illegal immigration is "cheap labor," but it is not "cheap labor," it is subsidized labor. The National Academy of Sciences has found that there is a significant fiscal drain on U.S. taxpayers for each adult immigrant without a high school education. Illegal immigration is something that benefits a few employers, but the rest of us subsidize that labor through the school system, the health-care system, the courts and in other ways that this form of labor imposes. With school spending of more than $7,000 per student per year, even a small family costs far more than a low-wage family pays in taxes."

". Our social fabric risks becoming undone. It is important to America's future that we look at how Mexican immigrants are doing. Too many of our Hispanic immigrants live in ethnic ghettos. Too many are unskilled laborers, too many are uneducated, too many live in poverty, too many are exploited, too many haven't finished ninth grade, too many drop out of school. The Center for Immigration Studies issued a report last year, which found: "Almost two-thirds of adult Mexican immigrants have not completed high school, compared to fewer than one in 10 natives not completing high school. Mexican immigrants now account for 22 percent of all high school dropouts in the labor force."

You say that no cost of immigration is negative, try this figure: "Immigrant households consume between $11 billion and $20 billion more in public services than they pay in taxes each year. The National Academy of Sciences 1997"

I must say that this has been an interesting exchange and enjoyable. At least we can disagree like gentlemen....

Dude, get over it, that issue is so dead on arrival in the House.

I agree, except that if there is another Columbine-like incident, I see the bill easily passing.

It looks like Tancredo is a maverick with no horsepower behind him.

Who's immigration policies do you personally prefer, his or President Bush's?

We will elect George W. Bush in 2004 1992 without them.

"I doesn't matter Bushbot."

Can you try to keep your debating techniques at least at a Junior High School level?

If you can't, I would suggest that you try LibertyPost.org, more your speed and intelligence level.

The great majority of McClintock supporters (including myself, barring an AWB signing) fully plan on voting for Bush. Alienating us will not help the President.

By the way.

The "princpled" got led by the nose like the sheeple they are, and helped elect Bill Clinton to the White House, stabbing in the back the man that, by sacrificing himself and his word, brought about the fruition of the Reagan economic recovery and the greatest economic boom this country has ever seen in its history.

Without Bush I's broken "read my lips" promise, Congress would have never given in to a balanced budget agreement, and without that, there would have never been a surplus.

The blinded sheeple stood on misguided "principles" and handed the bragging rights to Reagan's and Bush's hard work to Clinton.

Nice work.

I see you all trying to do it again...no better friends have the Liberals than the misguided "principled" among conservatives.

Dane, with all due respect, rather than putting down people with legitimate criticisms of the president, perhaps a better strategy would be to research the Assault Weapons Ban, do some soul searching, hopefully reverse your opinion on it, and then work your tail off in persuading the House NOT to let it get to Bush's desk. If it doesn't get to his desk, I GUARANTEE you Bush will be reelected. Mark my words.

Apparently from reading your endless spam, the sole criteria for conservatism is one who will legalize recreational poisons and prosecute anyone who interferes in the drug trade. Behold, the 'most conservative candidate' in MrLeroyland: the Trotskyite Greens Party!

Uncalled for and wrong. If I recall correctly, LeRoy's "litmus test" is abortion, not drugs.

President Bush is one of the finest men to ever hold this office.

I agree that he is one of the finest men, but thusfar not one of the finest presidents.

. I can understand having voted for McClintock (I would've too if I lived in CA, because I had no real fear Bustamante would win)

If more Republicans possesed common sense like yours, McClintock would be governor-elect right now.

Good to see you openly advocating a Democrat in 2004.

You've heard what they say what happens when you assume, right? For the record, I fully plan on voting for Bush unless he signs the Assault Weapons Bill (I put the odds of it reaching his desk at about 5-10%, so I'm not all that concerned at this point.)

I was simply trying to give some friendly advice to learn from past mistakes. Not all conservatives are as forgiving as myself. I do NOT want to see a repeat of '92.
