Dear Republican, Over the last few months, Laura and I have traveled the country and have been humbled by the enthusiastic support we have been given. Our country has faced many challenges in the last two and half years and we are meeting these challenges at home and abroad. We're defeating the enemies of freedom. And at the same time, we're confronting challenges to build prosperity for our nation and a more compassionate society. Every test has revealed the true character of America. And no one in the world can doubt the spirit and will and strength of the American people. We are meeting the challenges of our time but there is much more to be done and I need your support. Will you join me in these efforts by volunteering for my re-election campaign as a Bush Team Leader? http://www.GeorgeWBush.com/SignUp/ As a Bush Team Leader you will be asked to help by volunteering at local events, hosting your own events, registering new voters, turning out voters on Election Day and more. Most importantly, you will be asked to recruit more Bush Team Leaders to help us win in November 2004. Please sign up to be a part of this important effort today. http://www.GeorgeWBush.com/SignUp/ The challenges we face cannot be met with timid actions or bitter words. They will be overcome with optimism and resolve and confidence in the ideals of America. We are acting to advance human freedom and liberty and making the world and America more secure. We took action to create jobs and get the economy growing again. We acted on principle. You did not send me to this office to mark time. You sent me here to restore dignity and honor to the White House and to help build a safe and prosperous and caring nation. Will you join me in this effort by becoming a Bush Team Leader and volunteer your time? http://www.GeorgeWBush.com/SignUp/ I want to thank you for the work that you will do in the months to come. There is no question in my mind that with your help we are laying the foundation to win a great victory in November of 2004.
Sincerely,
P.S. Again, thank you for making my campaign strong at the grassroots level all across the country. I am grateful to the over 300,000 Americans that have contributed to my campaign and the millions more who've signed up on the campaign email list. And I am grateful to everyone that chooses to volunteer in support of this effort. I need you to make certain your friends and family register to vote. I need you to make phone calls, send emails, help organize rallies, put up signs, and get out the vote. I need you to volunteer in my campaign today. http://www.GeorgeWBush.com/SignUp/

"Let the "Assault" Weapons Ban sunset. Deport illegal aliens. Close the borders. Privatize what's left of "social security."

Bush might be a good man and a fine commander-in-chief, but it is a crumby world when Conservatives have to choose between him and the Democrats.

The economy and trade policy suck too. And the election of a Democrat will help that how?

AMEN!
I would love to ask all of the nay-sayers that insist that they will not vote for President Bush again exactly who they DO intend to vote for. AlBore? Hitlery?
God Bless Our President and Thank God We Have Him!

I plan to vote for the most conservative candidate running. Whether that's George Bush is up to him.

Disagree with policy? Fight the battles in the Congress, and by organizing those who feel like you do to apply political pressure where it's needed.
But don't hand the Executive Branch back to the RATs.
The dangers of doing that are incalculable.
To: RebelBanker
They will leave the national ballot blank. I am having serious trouble with the illegal immigration issue, even though I highly approve of him in other areas. I see the cozying up to illegals as being a breach of his oath of office. I will probably hold my nose and vote for him, because he is better than a RAT.
To: EternalVigilance
"If he doesn't do something about the ONE issue I care about I'll take my
marbles home and have a temper tantrum" Wah ! hehe ! GWB can get re-elected without them ...
He is a good President and a really good man, I agree ! Thanks !

May be the chronic whiners have a point; after all, the radical leftists who control the Democrat Party -- a Party endorsed by the Communist Party -- would certainly do a better job than GWB in battling terrorists (and the UN), stimulating the economy, advocating entrepreneurship (the lifeblood of our free enterprise system), protecting family/pro-life initiatives, endorsing the 2nd amendment, and stopping illegal immigration!{sarcasm!}
I work with many of the local/national members of the leftist intelligentsia and know exactly what they have planned for this country! For conservatives to 'cut off their nose to spite their faces' and put these people back in power is BEYOND TREASONOUS!!!
My family, friends and I will do whatever it takes to get President Bush re-elected. The very 'soul' of this country is at stake!

It is more than unlikely that the Democrats will nominate someone who is more conservative than George Bush.

I will probably hold my nose and vote for him... Well, that's alot smarter than cutting it off! ;-)
Seriously, if there are those who find themselves to be unmotivated by the President's reelection efforts, the best thing they can do is find positive and creative ways to expend their energy for the next year. There will be a ton of solidly conservative candidates for other offices that will need support.

You got it kid. Us too! We just had a heart to heart with a family member and after much explaining to her about what we all believe and what she believed because she THOUGHT the dems were looking out for her, she is now we are proud to say a full blooded Republican who will also vote for Dubya and will strive to work on other lib friends of her who are being misled.
It's partly her own fault becuase she was not listening or following what was going on. She was only listening to the PROMISES, LIES AND THE LIKE that the Dems spew. Now she knows better and has come to her senses.

Here's how I see it.
The Republican Party leadership cares about one thing and one thing only. It isn't the Constitution or the Bill of Rights, it isn't conservatism, or even freedom.
They care about holding power, period.
They will cater to the middle because that's where the votes - and power - are. They will move further left, every year, until they are indistinguishable from the Democrats. No, they aren't like today's Democrats, because today's Dems keep moving to the left. Republicans simply follow 20 -30 years behind them.
Eventually we lose. There is no winning outcome to this strategy.
Now comes the hard part. If Republicans know they can smack around their base like a cheap crack hoar and still keep their votes, the base will have NO influence whatsoever.
So the base needs to teach the Republican leadership a hard lesson, and the only language they speak is Power.
The base needs to flex its muscle by abandoning unacceptable candidates. Yes, they will lose one election, and then the Republican leadership will change course. Why? Because they will pursue power. This long term stategy is the only way conservatives will continue to have any horse in the race.
The current course is a one way ticket to big government and socialism. The potential damage done by one Democratic administration is miniscule compared to what awaits us if there are no conservatives running for office.
