October 27, 2003 -- WASHINGTON - The leader of an al Qaeda-linked terror group responsible for some of the biggest attacks on coalition forces in Iraq calls the shots from an apartment in Norway, U.S. counterterrorism officials say.
The officials told The Post they are increasingly frustrated over Mullah Krekar, the founder and spiritual leader of Ansar al-Islam. Last week the Pentagon branded the group the "principal terrorist adversary" of U.S. forces in Iraq.

Those pesky Norway apartment stoves are known to develop explosive gas leaks.
If we know this to be fact and have done nothing to end it, we are the biggest pussies on the earth's crust.

Why publicize this? Give the Norwegians a fair chance to neutralize the guy. If they don't, send in a Predator to deliver a Hellfire missile. Pay for any collatoral damage.

Brinjar Meling, Krekar's Norwegian lawyer, told The Post his client "is no longer part of Ansar and cannot be held responsible for anything Ansar has done after 2002."
...and we KNOW that Brinjar Meling would do NOTHING to mislead us about his client's activities. (sarcasm intended if not obvious).

Krekar and his family have held refugee status in Norway since 1991 - although he spent much of the time in northern Iraq leading a Taliban-style reign of terror in small villages under Ansar al-Islam's control. Pentagon officials said the group has moved into the Baghdad area, where it is coordinating with pro-Saddam Ba'athists and al Qaeda fighters. The group is believed to be responsible for a series of suicide car-bombing attacks on coalition installations.

Time to use the Mafia as we did in WWII to solve such problems.

We'll know the West's "War on Terrorism" has started, when we begin to terrorize the terrorists...
There should be no sactuary, no safe haven, and no "trial" for known terrorists or those that harbor and support terrorism..
At this time.....only the terrorists have taken the war seriously and killing their enemies by ANY means availabale, where ever they can find them...
Targeted killing of these lunatics will have to be adopted and applied throughout the world...
When those bastards wake up each day, and learn that dozens more of their Islamanazi partners met their deserved fate --- on city streets all over the globe, we will have begun to deal with the problem directly..
Until then.....we're kidding ourselves..

Believe it when I see it, but I can hope. Money makers like things the way they are.

The consensus here seems to be that an unfortunate (for him) event should befall the 'Norway Rat'. Sounds good to me.
