Anti-US protestor part excerpted
"A shouting match broke out among anti-war protesters and several dozen people affiliated with the Washington chapter of Free Republic, a grass-roots conservative group. The counterdemonstrators waved religious signs and chanted slogans in support of the administration. The two groups were separated by police on horseback."

The article fails to mention that as the protestors filed by us at Pershing Park, they lobbed water bottles and eggs. However, due to their limp-wristed pitch technique, no damage was incurred. One egg slid down my tartan to the grass and rolled back down to the sidewalk unbroken where it lay until the march ended.

Glad the DC Chapter made the Houston paper--but I question what they wrote. I have never seen or heard of the DC Chapter having anything religious on their signs.

Thank you DC Freepers!

Furthermore, no FReepers were involved in any scuffles with the (and your paper didn't mention this little factoid, either) Communist inspired and funded A.N.S.W.E.R. group.
The FReedom Warriors attended our rally and left en-masse at about 1:30 PM to heckle the Commies. Some are FReepers, but they were not officially part of our rally other than as spectators.

The Louisville Communist Journal covered the "Peace Protest" here this past Friday. They had a large picture in the center of the Metro page with the caption "Peace Protest". There were exactly TWO PEOPLE pictured. When there was a rally to support President Bush, with several THOUSAND people, it didn't even make the paper.

Who goes around with eggs?
The Chronicle writes: "The counterdemonstrators waved religious signs and chanted slogans in support of the administration."
Obviously, Bush supporters are only religious nuts and ANSWER is an antiwar group, no mention of the fact that it supported Saddam, Kim Il Jung, Castro, Pol Pot and any other bloody, murdering dictator, who comes along.
To: basil
Go Bush must be interpreted as religious by the press, ha ha ha.

Probably one sign had "One Nation Under God" or "God Bless America" or something like that and the media types took it from there. Since there's almost certainly a lot more non-religious patriots than there are religious non-patriots, they can marginalize the group a little bit. Not all of our adversaries are stupid people.

So right! I am trying to recall the "religious" signs we had. God bless the Troops, God bless America. I guess that is considered over the top nowadays.

Protest Security Personnel/Counter-Protesters Clash in Washington Good article from a ProtestWarrior who was there and documented the violence committed by ANSWER's security thugs. Includes statement by the husband of the pregnant woman who was manhandled in the confrontation.

Did the article mention that one of the ANSWER marchers carried a sign that said "Dykes For Peace"?
Probably left that item out.

"International A.N.S.W.E.R. security person"????
What the hell does that mean? Just where did that Goose Stepper get its "authority" to be anything?
The police should have ground that Brown Shirt's face into the pavement.

Generally large protests get volunteers to act as 'peacekeepers' for the event (I don't know if that is what happened at this rally, but it is most likely).
The only authority they have is a yellow vest and their lungs.
That said, trying to keep a group of 50 or 60 anti-protesters from the main protest probably prevented a number of violent altercations.

Hi basil!
Those two guys are from a very questionable "christian" church...the quote marks and small case "c" denote apostasism.
They show up in the most unusual places, but most Christians know they are charlatans.
I researched them years ago.
More in FR mail I don't want to post here.
