Just announced on Sunday Night Football. Chargers/Dolphins game for Monday Night moved to Phoenix AZ.

I'm just reporting what is being reported, about the hunter's flare gun.
This AM I saw close clear video on TV of trees wildly blowing around against powerlines, and sparks were cascading down like Roman candles. They said this was happening all over the place. Seems possible to me.

I just called Fox News and ripped them a new ass on their answering machiene. Now Geraldo is talking about Princess Diana.
Disgusting...absolutely sick of the so called 24 hour NEWS networks.

Travis..yes, it's feasible, however, now 15 major fires pretty much equates to a total eclipse of the sun...if ya know what I mean?

Nice. How will the Chargers get to PHX? And can we leave them with the Zonies? ;-)

You sister lives just a few blocks from my sister. My sister's place is south down Hillsdale Rd near Donahue Dr. She was getting ready a couple hours ago to leave if necessary. Her husband's office is right in the path of the flames in the Clairemont Mesa area.

We'll send the Bears there too :)
Seriously, I didn't even think about that problem. How far is Phoenix from San Diego. Maybe they will bus it, or drive to an airport that still has flight operations. The game is at 6pm pacific tomorrow, so they have about 23 hours to make it. I wonder if this has ever happened to the NFL before?

An ELF/Islamofascist attack was my first thought, but it seems like it may have more mundane origins.

For perspective, Cali occupies an area the size of GA through Virginia and parts of Maryland. ;-)

Yeah .. but he's been arrested. His story may be true, but I'm glad they decided to arrest him and ask questions later.

My Jack is a lover. CRG's Yorkie will like him, guaranteed. My eldest son's little boy can't get a flight out of here to go home to San Jose until LATE Tuesday night, if then. He was to leave at 6:00 tonight.
If he can't get home to mom and dad, where better than with grandpa? Take care of him as best you can, and keep in touch.

Disgusting...absolutely sick of the so called 24 hour NEWS networks. I totally agree
Maybe CA should get a white bronco to drive the roads where the fire is .. maybe then they will cover this story

Other than 9/11, this is a first AFAIK. And we need a home for overpriced crummy teams. ;-)

The local media has been shameful. The 24 hour radio stations are doing better, since they have to have news on anyways.
I can understand the smaller stations going with the cartoons and the like, but the owner operated ABC,CBS, and NBC stations should be getting nasty phone calls from all of us.
Better yet, we should call our congress critters and have them put the station owners in front of a committee, lecturing them, what a lovely profit they make from the leasing of the public airways, and the obligations that this priviledge entails.

I heard it from friends who are getting ready to evacuate. I can now see flames from my patio. Harbison Canyon apparently is gone. I'm packing, just in case.
