Awesome photos! "Where's Kuby" LOL, leading the march holding his Commie sign would be my guess.
Happy that Curtis Sliwa and friends were there. Met Curtis, nice guy.
Thank You to all of you who attended yesterday. Way to go!! :-)

Bill, after you and
JVB wove that bamboo to the roof of my truck - we (JVb, me Kristinn and daughterofTGSL) drove down 15th Street to Constitution Ave on our way to Luigi's, and we say those guys in the news photo.
They were standing on the sidewalk on the north side of Constitution Avenue, across from the driveway to the (now inaccessible) Washington Monument parking lot.
They were definitely on their own mission.
P.S. JVb - I think you need to host a knot-making class at the next DC Chapter meeting. I was worried about losing the bamboo on the very bumpy ride home, but I learned that my fears were unfounded when I arrived at home. I think I could have rolled the truck five times and still the bamboo would have held! Excellent work, JVb. Thank you!

I'm pretty sure those guys were for real - sincere in their belief. I'm sure I've seen them before doing their own thing protest-wise, around the White House.

My Trip To D.C. To Counter The Communists
PABAAH: Patriotic Americans Boycotting Anti-American Hollywood ^ | Jon Alvarez

Now why on earth would I drive so far, leaving the comforts of my home, simply to be verbally assaulted by a group of left-wing wackos? The answer is simple; I made this trip to show my support for our president, our troops, and our country.
I also made this trip to show the nation and the world that these leftist protesters do not speak for me. I could not in good conscience sit by and allow for them to march unopposed, spewing their venomous hatred not only for President Bush, but also for our country. They do not represent mainstream America

My DC Chapter Rally/Protest Warrior "Infiltration" After-Rally Report
myself | 10/24/2003 | Pyro7480I was with the Protest Warriors when they left the FR rally, right at the end of Bob Dornan's speech. They actually started out later than they had planned. We marched all the way to the other side of the Washington Monument, to the area near the ANSWER stage, close to Constitution Avenue. The main body of the PW group arrived together, while some who walked more slowly arrived soon afterwards. In the "wave" I was part of, there was a spur-of-the-moment singing of "God Bless America," just to counter the shouting we were getting. From that point on, we were getting shouted down, and some of us debated the ANSWER supporters.
~~~
We spent the day protected by a line of police motorcycles, while we "engaged in dialogue" with the misguided. We were definitely noticed, but, I don't think our message got out to enough people who would care. I think I got at least one person to listen. An older woman who read my sign about the deaths caused by communism. I asked if she agreed with my sign. She said yes. I then mentioned who the sponsers of ANSWER are and she looked very concerned.
Well, sorry for the long post, thought I would fill you guys in.
Happy to be a new member.
No it is an old one.
A non-Christian "christian" church.
They are not aligned with us at all.
Thank goodness.
