Ruben Israel, left, of Los Angeles, and Stephen James, right, of Somerset, Penn., heckle anti-war demonstrators as they march in Washington to protest the U.S. troops presence in Iraq (news - web sites) on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2003. The thousands strong march, labeled 'Bring the Troops Home Now, End the Occupation of Iraq,' was organized by the groups A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition (Act Now To Stop War And Racism) and United For Peace And Justice. (AP Photo/Gerald Herbert) |

In a direct quote from ANSWER, they call on people to support the Anti-American terrorists in IRAQ:
The anti-war movement here and around the world must give it's unconditional support to the Iraqi anti-Colonial resistance
That is clear: ANSWER thinks it is ok to KILL American troops...for peace.

Tgsl, that one great photo justifies all your considerable work on the banners as well as the work of Kristinn, Angelwood, and all on the rally itself.
Thanks to all for their efforts!

I'll probably get flamed, but these two guys' message is about as appealing to "regular" Americans as the ANSWER guys. But then again these guys probably hate ol' Joe Sixpack just like they think God does.

And some of their followers don't have a clue what ANSWER's real agenda is.

Agreed, but I never saw those guys at our rally. I don't think that they were with us at either our DC Chapter sponsored rally or our counter-protest at Pershing Park.

Looking at the photo again, I'm wondering if the two guys were really protesting ANSWER or were trying to discredit those who were protesting ANSWER. In other words, knowing that others would be there to protest ANSWER, these two ANSWER supporters show up pretending to protest ANSWER.
The two signs reveal such a distorted view of religion that their is a good chance of these guys being put-ons.
