State Deputy Thomas Ledbetter and the State Board of Officers of the Massachusetts State Council Knights of Columbus and the Salem Knights of Columbus have announced that the Festival Of The Dead Death and Rebirth Ritual Transformation scheduled to be hosted by Salem Witch Elder, High Priestess Sandra Mariah Power at the Salem Council Knights of Columbus has been moved from the Knights of Columbus hall.
After researching the many complaints received about the Festival Of The Dead scheduled for November 1st, the Massachusetts State Board of Officers determined that the event should not proceed in a Knights of Columbus facility and after discussion with the organizers they agreed to cancel the contract.
As Knights of Columbus, the Massachusetts State Board of Officers of the Knights of Columbus states that nothing relating to witchcraft should ever be presented in a Knights of Columbus venue.

All Saints Day. Who was the Knight who scheduled this in the first place??? That's a good damned question. AS a PGK I can't think of a single Knight of the hundreds in my acquaintance, who would even for a second consider renting their facility for such an event.

Geez, all this time and I now finally now what the 'pkg' in front of your name means. Damn I'm slow. Hahahaha
To: ShadowDancer
When I first went online it was mainly to use e-mail and I generally used e-mail for council business. Pgkdan was easy for my brother knights to remember...easy for me too.

Please, we should all e-mail the Massachusetts State Council Knights of Columbus, http://www.massachusettsstatekofc.org/ and Supreme.
No problema. What should we say in the e-mail? Thank you? It's about time?
To: pgkdan
Hahahaha. No, if I were I would be a Colleen. My dad is and has been for over 30 years. He's done the Treasurer thing, volunteers to work all the dinners every week, etc. but I do believe he thinks those of you that take on the GK position are nuts. LOL

That's a good damned question. AS a PGK I can't think of a single Knight of the hundreds in my acquaintance, who would even for a second consider renting their facility for such an event. I think the key word here is *knowingly,* but I wouldn't be surprised if the KofC could get snookered by a slick con like anyone else. Knights, however, are supposed to be semper vigilans, particular Templars.

AS a PGK I can't think of a single Knight of the hundreds in my acquaintance, who would even for a second consider renting their facility for such an event. My grandfather was a PGK and I remember so much his funeral with full regaila. As a result of that impression, I researched the Knights and was very impressed with what I found!
I left the Church due to disagreements too numerous to mention, but I always try to live according to the very high standards set by your organization.
And this whole Wiccan thing confused the heck out of me! Good to see it cleared up.
