A state protection agency for disabled persons on Wednesday was planning to launch an investigation into alleged spousal abuse against Terri Schiavo, the severely brain damaged woman whose feeding tube was reinserted this week after intervention by the Florida Legislature and Gov. Jeb Bush.

His actions are beyond the money; even though I believe money is a huge motivating factor in his behavior. Michael Schiavo showed all of us tonight again, what he truly is. An extremely controlling, manipulative, dangerous and evil man. He seems to be a lot like Scott Peterson. Insurance money, adulterous relationship on the side. Adultery alone is often a reason people murder their spouse.

Great points Fitz.
I think your point regarding as to when she became anorexic could be very important. As you know, anorexia is so tied in with issues of self esteem, which means that Schiavo could potentially have exercised this type of control over Terri from the very beginning. Abuse could be a very established and long term pattern in their relationship and could easily have been hidden from everyone.
If there was abuse, Terri may have been the type of woman who would never tell her family. Keeping abuse a secret is not so uncommon; she may have been too humilated and thought she could control and take care of it herself. Who knows?
I hope that whatever comes out results in the nullification of Schiavo's guardianship. This guys is bad news.
By the way, good speaking with you again, I hope all is well.

Another narcissistic, manipulative, greedy, controlling and evil man. This type seems to pop up more and more; do you think we are having some kind of epidemic?
Good night and have a good rest of the evening.

It's called abandonment, and for that you have to basically leave and have no contact. It's not a crime so much as grounds for divorce, I think. He's an adulterer. But, he was already awarded compensation for her not being able to perform wifely duties and keep him company (or something along those lines). He should have divorced or had the marriage annulled if he wanted to have another relationship and family.

Thanks for the post. I read the atricle. This is giving me some hope that this monster won't get away with killing Terri legally after trying to do it 13 years ago. The more I read about this case, the more I believe he is trying to get the state to finish the job he started on Terri.
I wanted to put the name of the agency here from the article:
The Advocacy Center for Persons with Disabilities, an agency mandated in states and funded by Congress

They didn't do it then because the media wasn't all over the place. Now this has been exposed and someone has to step up to the plate to cover their butts.

So you like the Ann Rule books? What do you think keeps her readers coming back?

As of now, and when medical care was most needed, Michael Schiavo is still making all the decisions.
Terri looks worse today than she did before being moved to the Hospital and back to the hospice.
Please contact others and ask why, during the 5 days BOTH sides have to come up with a guardian, is the side fighting to save Terri not allowed a say in her medical treatment, please!
So what happens when these patients need further care, eg, dialysis that cannot be given there? Then they would be transported to hospital or other facilityIF this is what had been requested and agreed upon by the primary care physician AND THE GUARDIAN.
Michael and the physician will not do this. I believe this is it. Unless Terri is removed right now. Gov. Bush, are you listening?
Good guy media contacts: (cut and paste):
Please continue prayers and contacts.

Well, whaddya know. Someone seems to have remembered the Americans With Disabilities Act. I wish I could remember who I was talking to last week about Terri--that poster and I concluded that while they were (at the time) legally killing her, at least she was assured of a good parking space.

This type seems to pop up more and more; do you think we are having some kind of epidemic?"I've been noticing the same thing for the past several years. Doesn't seem to be gender specific though, if anything I'd say there are a few more women than men, but that could be just my "circle."
A google search on "narcissistic personality disorder" brings up some interesting articles. I'd only add one thing: Every one I know is an avowed leftist.

"So you like the Ann Rule books? What do you think keeps her readers coming back?"
First of all, longevity. She has acquired a very large and loyal following because she has been consistently writing true crime books for about 20 years. Her first book was called, "The Stranger Beside Me" focusing on her relationship with Ted Bundy, a former co-worker.
Secondly and more importantly, Ann utilizes her criminal justice background and delves deeply into the criminal mind and literally teaches her readers in how the criminal mind works. Most of the people she has writtened about seem like very normal people; but in reality they are evil, narcissistic pyschopaths who care only for themselves and have absolutely no remorse for their actions. (Sound like someone we know? Maybe MS?) Initially, that is why she wrote the book about Bundy, she was completely fooled by him. He is probably her most famous subject.
This of course is a very general explanation, but I hope it answers your question.

"Everyone I know is an avowed leftist."
Wow, what a great observation. I hadn't thought of it before, but in my own personal interactions with individuals who possibly could have Narcissistic Personality Disorder, they also all were avowed leftist.
By product of the 60's, maybe?
