I've been noticing the same thing for the past several years. Doesn't seem to be gender specific though, if anything I'd say there are a few more women than men, but that could be just my "circle."

A google search on "narcissistic personality disorder" brings up some interesting articles. I'd only add one thing: Every one I know is an avowed leftist.

Wow, what a great observation. I hadn't thought of it before, but in my own personal interactions with individuals who possibly could have Narcissistic Personality Disorder, they also all were avowed leftist.
